Really lovely food and staff here. Celebrated my husbands 50th and they were incredibly accommodating and friendly. Will definitely be back and highly recommend!

The Red Barn always is a great experience. But on our last visit we had the pan fried trout with new potatoes and samphire and it was exceptional!! Kudos to the kitchen!Service was prompt and serviceable. Usually the servers are quite friendly but this time we had a server that needs a bit of work on their repartee with the customers. But overall I think this is not indicative of the overall quality of the place. We usually come for Sunday Roast and it?s also quite good.

We love this place! The food is really good, varied, fresh and plentiful. Service is exceptional! I?ve just relocated to the area and this place has become my regular haunt and where we?ve brought our visiting friends to over the festive period.

Absolutely tasteless chicken schnitzel (£13), less than a handful of chips, the terrine was also very bland, and the mushroom tagliatelle unfortunately also had the same problems....but with the added bonus of being way too oily. Nice atmosphere though, although cold in the back with no fire going!Won't go back, unless only for a drink.

The Red Barn is absolutely wonderful. The service was excellent and our waitress was very attentive. We ordered a lot of food for a table of five and we had a very pleasant experience.Everyone finished their meal and really enjoyed the beers and cocktails. What we ordered was a charcuterie board to share, I ordered the soup of the day, and my friends ordered the fish and chips, shepherds pie and side of veggies. All of it was super delicious and I loved all the fresh ingredients. I also enjoy the espresso martini and the fresh Guinness.Atmosphere is very pleasant, many places to sit and there is plenty of parking. They have both indoor and outdoor seating so it?s also great for any sort of events .I highly recommend this restaurant.Parking: I loved how there were so much areas to park whether it?s raining or sunny. It?s easy and simple.Kid-friendliness: You can definitely sit in areas where it would be more quiet for the kids that is not disturbing anyone. They also do have a smaller menu for kids and a lot of fresh choices to eat.Wheelchair accessibility: From parking to the restaurant it?s easy to get to. All one level with wide doors.

The Barn was beautifully decorated and was very festive. However, a Sunday was very busy and so it was really quite noisy. Not always easy to keep conversation going on your own table. Food was okay. My husband said his turkey was a bit thin however. I had the veggie Wellington which unfortunately was not good. Indiscriminate veg and a really tasteless meat substitute that was just unnecessary and certainly not included on the menu description as I wouldn't have chosen it. I think the worst thing was the price however. £40 for a main, a side, 2 glasses of wine and one coffee! £80 for a couple!

They were unexpectedly busier than they thought but the service was very good. Waitresses were doing a grand job under a lot of pressure. Food was excellent and hot!. Would give 5 stars for food but no wine glasses as they had run out.

Lovely looking pub, good atmosphere, good choice of beers and wines. Food was delicious but expensive for what it is.I?m annoyed with myself as a ?discretionary? tip of 12.5% was automatically added to our bill and not identified by the waitress (which I guess is normal now). Given we were a large party, this was circa £35 which is far too high. Shame as this puts me off returning.. but I probably will as on balance it was a good meal out.

Excellent service from a friendly team. Nice enough food, but pretty standard pub grub trying to be something it's not.Lovely fireplace and comfy chairs, but some of the background music was clashing with the setting.

What a delightful venue and service ? and fantastic food, at great value for money! The Barn, wonderfully warm on a chilly day, had a lovely ambience. It was acoustically ideal for audible (but not broadcast) conversations with one guest who had poor hearing.

Stunning barn conversion, high ceilings and fireplaces dotted around. Such a gorgeous place to spend a few hours at. I sat outside for a little while too, in their lovely covered outdoor terrace with heaters. We ordered the roast for 4 and it was delicious. I can't wait to go back.

We celebrated as a group of 22 for my boyfriend?s birthday. It was a gorgeous sunny day and the team were amazing. Food was great and Blake was our server who was attentive and professional. Would definitely return and also recommend.

Previous visits to the Red Barn have been quite nice but last night was terrible.I booked a table weeks in advance for my family and made a special requirement for our baby and pram. We arrived on time but found that there was a firework display on and we were refused entry to the car park. There was no mention of this event when making the booking. This meant we had to park almost a mile away and walk with our baby and elderly parents on unlit country roads. We got to the gate and were met by what I can only describe as overzealous staff behaving like they were guarding the Crown Jewels. They had no record of our booking (despite my confirmation email) and after a bit of flapping they finally let us in.Our waitress was reasonably pleasant and apologetic but she would have tested the patience of a Saint. She quickly informed us we were late and that the kitchen was closing at 18:30. This was rather confusing as our table was booked for 18:30 and we were only late by 20 minutes because of the carnage outside. She then proceeded to rush our food order before I even had a chance to sit down or take my coat off.The food was nice but it arrived before the drinks and so fast I can only imagine the cooks were desperate to get out and watch the fireworks and play with some sparklers. When the display started we were literally abandoned inside and when the waitress finally came back she abruptly informed us there was no dessert. After a fuss she went away to bargain with the cooks and later on delightedly told us ?we were lucky to get anything?. I thought we?d entered a different time zone but it was only 19:30.Our evening was spoiled by very poor reception and management. We appreciated there was an event on but the whole experience could have been better and there should have been some sort of warning on the website or when making the reservation. Considering the cost we also felt somewhat robbed.

Lovely night out with delicious food. Good selection of well thought out vegetarian options (that weren't just curry, curry and more curry). Lovely local produce.Staff seemed a bit thin on the ground when we first arrived and after mains plates had been cleared. Restaurant wasn't exactly busy. Had to ask for a dessert menu when it became apparent no one was coming to offer one to us. Staff were lovely and helpful when they were there though!Vegetarian options: Loved the carrot rosti and macaroni cheese! And the caramelised pear was divine.

Beautiful pub, amazing views and atmosphere, the food is really good, however, when we visited a lot of the dishes were already sold out but it wasn't even that
