The hotel is very pretty and has an amazing view. It has this romantic and creepy look, so very picturesque. We went for a murder mystery get away with family and it was a great experience overall. The murder mystery was very enjoyable and the actors were amazing. That said, I didn't give more stars because as a vegan and gluten free I felt it was a bit of a struggle. I had gluten free scones with jam only, but the cream (buttercream ??? Sorry I don't know the name haha ) was not clearly labelled as non vegan. So I wasn't happy about that. For drinks there wasn't much option besides caffeinated drinks and I don't have caffeine, so that probably influenced my sleep. For dinner...I had a vegan GF risotto but it was crunchy and undercooked. For some reason I didn't have the reaction to send it back...maybe because with the murder mystery I was to busy focusing on the clues. I ate the undercooked risotto...dumb I know and payed for it with terrible tummy aches after that and throughout the night and weekend. Lesson...never ever eat uncook grains. Unless it is sprouted etc etc. Anyways, I diverse. For breakfast I could only have vegetables besides potatoes that are prepared for English breakfast as there was nothing else. Overall the food was a huge disappointment. The bedroom was ok, but was design to be pretty not enjoyable. The bed and bedding wasn't particularly comfortable and we were cold and had to ask for a blanket. They advised to keep Aircon on but that is noisy. They brought an oil heater but the smell was strong. I guess the staff was friendly. The room was very noisy with machineries just outside. So I would advise rooms facing the car park.We couldn't sleep basically. All in all, The murder mystery was great, the hotel is pretty but I have preferred to just viait for the murder mystery and not stay at the hotel.

We had a small wedding at Nutfield in February 2024 and can wholeheartedly recommend it. The venue is beautiful (our photos look great) and the food was delicious - the ribeye of beef and the sticky toffee pudding in particular. The rooms were well-appointed, and the view is fantastic from the Byron suite at the top of the tower. More importantly, the staff were exceptional. Alexandra and Caitlin were both a pleasure to work with, and they were just so helpful in planning in all the changes we needed - nothing was ever too difficult, and they made the experience of selecting the venue and planning the wedding smooth and stress-free. The kitchen was also accommodating for many different dietary requirements, which was a big help. The on-the-day wedding coordinator, Peter, was perhaps one of the most competent professionals I have ever met, and very personable to boot. It is difficult to overstate how smoothly and effectively the day progressed thanks to his coordination, responsiveness, and helpfulness. Adam and I couldn?t be happier to have chosen Nutfield Priory as our wedding venue.

Has a rather strange waiting list for gym membership that appears to entice people to join their five-day programme on the hopes you will get upgraded to the seven-day tier. The gym and spa are usually a ghost town, so this appears to be in order to give staff an easy life and the spa an air of "exclusivity". Hoping a General Manager or Senior Area Manager review this and make the necessary changes.

I recently signed up to the gym and spa, Dan showed me around and gave me all the information I needed, and happily answered my questions. He was very helpful and professional. The facilities are great! Highly recommend.Nearby activities: Classes are great.

So disappointed with our meal at Cloisters after seeing all the great reviews. We had the set menu and both the food and service was just poor. White wine not chilled, artichoke veloute served with a cold vingegary lump of preserved artichoke, scallops served with cold carrot puree, cold beef fillet served with spinach that looked like it had been cooked 8 times and a croquette that could give peanut brittle a run for its money. We were sat in an ?alcove? which was not only soulless but also meant we were ignored by the staff - offered one drink the entire meal - and eventually the courses for the set menu just stopped arriving - and we had to remind them we still existed.

Wow what a place, I have to say it's really breath taking especially night and if you stay in the main house " very Hogwarts" we had the beautiful Wordsworth suite which has stunning views and well worth the extra £.Staff were all very friendly and very helpful my wife and I were well treated and felt like they appreciated our business. Only slight negative was the bar snacks/lunch very disappointing but when mentioned to the staff it was recertified and removed from the bill then we opted to give them another chance and chose room service dinner in our amazing room as it was too good not to stay in it longer and enjoy it and the food was excellent we had stone baked pizzas highly recommend...? so they fully redeemed themselves back to a 5 ? ? ? ? ? ?Ohh and breakfast was MEGA I'm talking service and a la carte menu I had the salmon with poached eggs " Royale " wife had eggs Benedict and you would happily paid £50-60 and been pleased 6 stars on this guys ??????? ??On separate rating I would only give the spa 3 stars ... In separate building and just one tiny hot tub 3 persons really.... it was a bit disappointing as it gets quite busy as not just used by hotel guests, although spa staff were very friendly 5 stars for them ??... but the facilities 3 ???? stars max very average local pool house really and for such a mega 5 star venue hotel you just would kind of expect a 5 star spa ... If they built one as such integral with the main hotel ...wow then they would be a 6 star venue and would be the place everyone talks about.Rooms: Wordsworth suite is a dream ... Do it it's only money and you can't take it with you ??Food & drinks: Breakfast is one of the best I've ever had I would go back just for breakfast another day and pretend to be a guest ?

Lovely, peaceful place with great spa facilities. It was a surprise birthday gift from husband so I was excited about spending the whole day in the spa just by myself. On my arrival at 09:36am, I was met and greeted by friendly spa staff members. I was taken to a nice, cosy lounge where I was allowed some time to complete a necessary questionnaire. At 10am, I was picked by a wonderful spa therapist Becky. She provided amazing spa treatments and made me feel like me again. She was also kind enough to go to the reception and bring a rob for me which I could wear after the treatment as this was not provided to me at the arrival. Becky also showed me a nice relaxation room where I could spend some time after the treatment before going to spa.I would have given the spa 5 stars but the fact that I was not given the rob, towel and slippers at the arrival is disappointing. Thanks to Becky for bringing the rob to me, I managed to get to the reception without getting oils on my clothes after the message.I however was still forced to walk to the reception by wearing my winter boots barefoot, whilst also carrying my clothes and handbag with me. No one showed me where the changing room or bathroom were. In all other spas, this is something that is shown before the beginning of any treatments. But in this spa, in contrast, I had to go and ask the staff myself to see whether they had any slippers or towels to provide (which my husband bought for me in advance). And this was after I explained to them that it was my first visit there, and that because of the surprise gift from my husband, I was not aware of what was included in my spa day.Fortunately, after speaking to the staff at the reception, a nice lady called Margaret offered me to show the spa facilities which I greatly appreciated.I also enjoyed a champagne lunch served by the sweet lady from the restaraunt. So overall experience was good, despite unpleasant first impression from the meet and greet.

We went for my BD weekend, the room was amazing, clean, cosy we had an extra tread in our room. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The HK lady met in the corridor and tried to help me with my luggage and show where my room was. Dinner was delicious. Stuff in bar and restaurant nice, lovely. SPA with jacuzzi and sauna makes our stay more relaxing. The atmosphere was amazing. Wish to return for another occasion.Rooms: Very comfortable bed, clean, cosy. Have everything that you need, even a coffee machine.Nearby activities: Lovely Spa with jacuzzi, sauna.Food & drinks: Amazing taste food?

Stayed two nights for a wedding and had afternoon tea along with the wedding festivities. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are wonderful. Every single member of the staff we interacted with was lovely. This hotel understands hospitality and we had a lovely stay.

We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at Nutfield Priory after having stayed there in September. The whole experience was exceptional with lots of little touches such as the Christmas tree in our room, complimentary Christmas hamper and mini bar.On Christmas Eve we were treated to a local choir singing carols in the lounge accompanied by delicious canapés and champagne. The food was excellent and the sommelier, Abdul, selected some great wines to compliment the food. The service was faultless and the staff were so friendly and cheerful in particular Niamh and Kelly who never seemed to go home.We would highly recommend and will definitely return again.
