I have spoken to and been into see Sam at the Redhill branch a few times over the last couple of days making enquires about a few products at Santander. He is very well spoken and really easy to talk to, showing real interest in my situation and finding different ways to offer help. He was also very empathic and nice when things didn't go quite as planned. All in all even though I didn't leave with the answers I wanted, the whole experience was made better by his brilliant customer service. Highly recommend Sam at Santander Redhill! :)

Young student, attempting to set up my first current account. After more than 2 weeks and visiting the bank more than 4 times, during which they once told me they lost all my details and would have to restart the account application process, telling me they lost post that they were supposed to send me to speed up the process, they eventually told me that they could not create the account as I had "no credit history" which is not at all a valid reason to not create a current account under my name. at the end of the last day, I crossed the road to Lloyds TSB who within 15 MINUTES had created BOTH A SAVINGS ACCOUNT AND A CURRENT ACCOUNT under my name in no time and problem at all. do NOT USE the santander redhill.
