Arrived at the hotel and kindly ask if I can get a room near the reception as I am pregnant it will be easy for me to access the reception if needed. But unfortunately they weren?t able to help me instead they gave me the last end room. also there?s a banging noise on the other room that made me wake up in the middle of my sleep.

My worst night's sleep ever! The fourth floor rooms are directly over the massive Sainsburys supermarket and even though the store closed at 10pm we were tortured all night by the sound of Christmas music coming up through the floor. Not ridiculously loud but repetitive and loud enough to be really really annoying and impossible to ignore once your brain tunes in. Also, the pillows are rock-hard like they are suffed with cardboard. And the soap dispenser in the shower was broken. Tip: ask for a room on the 5th floor and bring your own pillow and shower gel. PS no-one on reception to complain to when we left. Hotel management please reply here.

Got stuck in a lift. Manager was non empathetic that it took ages for a member of staff to answer the alarm. I had to call 999 to get help.

October 2023 a couple of hours there mid-afternoon in the lounge. Clean, comfortable, quiet. Nice view of the park and the trains going by, the station a few minutes walk.

Use this as a stop over before going to Gatwick airport - which was 20 minutes away by car. This hotel offers free parking for travelodge users but need to be quick as the free places soon go, otherwise I think it?s £5 for 24 hours. The hotel is spotlessly clean and friendly staff. Breakfast is also good and has a wide selection - one of the best travelodge a I have stayed in. Bed comfortable, shower was powerful and bedroom smelt nice and fresh.

Spotlessly clean room and comfy beds. Gorgeous soft carpet too. My son adored watching the trains out of the window. Breakfast was lovely. Lots of choice and very fresh Not so easy to negotiate the carparking and entrance though, some more signage from the road would be helpful

Stayed here one night, the staff on reception very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was very good, quality food, plenty of choice. The only criticism is that the food could have been hotter, the equipment needs improving. The gentleman looking after the breakfast was very helpful and efficient, all the areas kept tidy, he definitely takes pride in his job. The views from the dining room are amazing. Will definitely stay here again. We have relatives in the area so our stays could be throughout the year, just a small concern about comments re heat in the summer and no air conditioning. Thank you all for a pleasant stay.

This hotel is slap bang in the town centre with a local market and very , bl to the railway and bus station. With rooms on the fourth and fifth Floor the dining room provided stunning views of the countryside. The hotel was well maintained and the breakfast was very satisfactory.

Right in the town centre, free parking below the hotel. Within walking distance of the railway station. Clean comfortable and quiet, breakfast buffet was great. We had one evening meal in our three night stay, it was delicious and very good value for money.

We stayed in September 2023. It wasn?t a great experience. The rooms was so hot and you was only given a small fan which ended up just blowing hot air around. The lounge/reception was lovely and cool as it was air conditioned. There is leaky pipes in the car park so having to walk through walk to get the lifts wasn?t very nice. Ended up leaving after 1 night as the heat in the rooms was too unbearable. Would say this hotel would be nice during the winter months but definitely a no go during summer

No aircon, badly ventilated and flooded entrance from leaking pipes! Provided with a small fan which was frankly insulting. Had to wait for a room to be prepared as a family room which we had booked and paid extra. The staff were very kind and helpful under difficult circumstances

Have to stay here regularly for business and always easy, comfortable and clean. Staff helpful and friendly. Isabel always available and Sarah was great when I arrived in the middle of the night. Would recommend

We were looked after by Lisa, Sasha and Victoria. They were so friendly and could not do enough for us.Two nights we were too tired after busy days to go out for food, so ate in the bar cafe. The menu had lots of choice and over the two nights we tried many items. Everything was cooked by Lisa and was delicious, hot and tasty. We will definitely be staying here again when we have to visit this part of the country. A bonus was being able to bring our dog.Rooms: Spotless rooms with a good shower and a range of differently supporting pillows.Food & drinks: The food and drink from the cafe bar is excellent. Beautifully cooked by LisaNoteworthy details: Dog friendly with a great public park just over the road from the entrance. Good basement parking so keep dry while unpacking whatever the weather. This Travelodge is over a Sainsbury's so that is very convenient
