I took my Mum to Reigate Manor for afternoon tea as a treat, but sadly the experience left us disappointed and upset. We had:a view of the car park from our table, Dirty tea cups, Stale cakes with off tasting cream topping and a couple of slices of disgusting dried strawberries, inedible green blobs filled with foul gunk, small dry scones (they were approx the size of the mini pot of jam) and sandwiches with curled edges.Presentation was mediocre and restaurant staff were nowhere to be seen.We were the only two people in the place for the duration - that?s if you don?t count the female who sat on the sofa near us seemingly having a break (a staff member I presume as she sipped from her Mandy cup). Before leaving we put our coats on from the coat rack very near the reception desk and were completely ignored by the receptionist, she didn?t even say good bye let alone ask how the tea was.The food was abysmal and service was poor, nothing like a treat and certainly nothing I would like repeated, therefore, I will definitely be sharing my appalling experience with others to warn them.

Comfortable rooms although a bit dated. Friendly check in staff, and breakfast was good. Decent option for a couple of days if staying in the area.Rooms: Superior room was of a decent size, and comfy bed. But TV and bath quite small.

We had pre-booked our Christmas party for the 15th of December. Bar prices more or less what is expected. High! Serving so many people with different meals, etc, requires a lot of organising. To their credit, they did a good job!Unfortunately, I can not say the same for the food. Which, to be frank, is pretty awful. All prepackaged frozen/defrosted( judging by its appearance ) with very little appeal visually, taste wise, bland! The DJ did a good job keeping the music flowing.I accept the Christmas party market is more or less the same at most hotels? However, a little more thought about the food presentation will not go amiss!

Been here for the business trip for a week. It is a really quiet and cozy place to stay. Recommend you to stay.

This is the third time that I have organised a dinner for my association at Reigate Manor. Once for 90+ guests, once for 110 guests and last night for 40. I had a prominent guest speaker on every occasion. Organisation, food and service are always excellent with great attention to detail. Last night Mohammed and his team were keen to make sure that we had everything we needed. The food was delicious, everything was laid out as I had specified - I have to confess I am a perfectionist! - and my running order on timing could not be bettered. I know that with well-known speakers I never have to worry at Reigate Manor which is a real relief when one has the responsibility of making sure that everything goes as well as possible.

This review is of the bar service. We attended a show there last night. The 1st small glass of wine was not good & not cold, I endured it as the show was starting & I didn't want to miss anything. Later on I ordered another wine, but half as much as I wanted half wine/half soda water (a spritzer). I saw him fill my glass, emptying a bottle in doibg so, but leaving me short of wine in my glass. Only because I questioned it did he ope a new bottle & top up my glass (such lack of honesty on his part). He also charged me £9 insisting this is what Spritzers cost there! My husband later said that my 1st drink cost £6 (which, in itself is pricey for a Small glass)... & boy was it small. A Spritzer has half as much wine in it+ soda water hence should be cheaper. 7 years ago I & some of my other guests stayed at your hotel after having had my big birthday event there & was pleased with the outcome. As for yesterday's visit, I experienced only the money grabbing side/lack of integrity. Am glad however to have been there to support a radio station that has given me much comfort...the Radio Marsden Comedy night.

My husband & I had a very relaxing stay for a Best Friend's Wedding Reception. It was a lovely sized room/en suite. So very impressed how clean it all was and a very powerful shower which was unusual in a hotel. Bed so comfortable and the best hairdryer I have had in a hotel. All the staff were friendly/professional and a credit to the hotel. Breakfast was superb. Would highly recommend it to family or friends. Would certainly book here again if we were down again. I left a really important necklace that is irreplaceable and had sentimental value. I notice I left it a day or two later. Left two voicemails on the answer machine, then finally got through to someone who said they would call me back. No call back. My partner also called and the person that spoke to her was very rude and immediately said they didn?t have it without taking the time to look. It tells a lot about a place when the staff potentially pocket items left by guests and then can?t have the decency to deal with the issue or in this case even pretend to try! People leave things in hotels all the time, and the having worked in the industry myself I understand and sympathise with the guests when this happens but unfortunately that is clearly not of importance when hiring for Reigate Manor. Would never come back here on that basis, after this experience.
