Absolutely disgusting customer service by a colleague at Tesco petrol station Ashford on Saturday 16/03/24.I planned to put £20 in the vehicle unfortunately I went over by 1p yes 1p as we all do occasionally. So the total I owed was £20.01. I gave the colleague a £20 note and explained that I didn't have a penny. She refused to complete the transaction due to a penny. I understand the principle of this but I have never experienced anything like this in any fuel station or retail store for that matter especially over a penny.I'm still in shock to be honest with what happened.Another colleague even gave her a penny yet she refused to complete the transaction! This doesn't make any sense to me. She accused me of being rude which i wasn't. I have been in different customer service roles and managerial roles in the past. I have the ability like many of us to explain points in a polite and calm manner.I tried to explain the situation but wasn't getting anywhere.Thank god that the other colleague completed the transaction for me, she was very polite and served me with a smile. The funny this is that i went back to my vehicle and found a penny! I went back and gave them the penny.I did not expect this service from anyone!Extremely offended, disappointed and in shock of the service i received.

Spend more time and petrol driving around the fore court looking for a pump where you can pay in kiosk , has diesel and isn?t closed , I?m finished there now !

Update: It's sometimes not a petrol station anymore. Lots of times the pumps are inoperable or don't take cards. Downgraded a star.ORIGINAL REVIEW: It's a petrol station. It's a Tesco petrol station. You stick a hose in your car's fuel orifice and it delivers either some sticky black sludge or some rainbow tinted ether into your tank. Job done. There's nothing to like or dislike. Now, just go and contribute to global warming with your carbon emissions.

I go to a lot of cafes and this is one of the worst I have been to for relaxation. It is only a small space and yet customers have to order on a screen - no personal contact with staff. What an awful way to offer service in such a small space. Snacks were okay but I wouldn?t go back. The hospital cafe just beside Tesco offers a much more personal experience

Wash your own car for a very affordable price of £2 for 5 minutes. Not experienced an easier self-service car wash.Soap options, high to low pressure with just a click of a button. What would top it off is drying towels, but I?m asking for too much here I know!Power was a bit lower than what you expect, however it does the job.

This has got to be one of the worst Tesco petrol stations I've visited. Kiosk closes at 8:00 p.m. on a week day! What on earth is this world coming to! Pay at pump 24 hours, but if these stores insist on having everything automated, and removing the personal service away from it's customers, get off your bone idle butt and replace the receipt rolls! Most pumps receipt printers unavailable! After attempting to pull up to 3 pumps to find this message, I gave up and fuelled and then had to hunt down a printer I could do a reprint on! What awful service!

Disrespectful staff. Clearly no idea how one should interact with the general public. Food cold and comments far from acceptable.

Not 24 hours, can get fuel if pay at pump only but no good for business fuel cards that need to pay in kiosk

Meant to be 24 hour, not great walking around in the freezing cold to check all the pumps to find one that works!! Big hole in the floor where a metal grate is missing, would do some damage if someone was to fall down it!

1month and self-car wash is still not working. even when it was, the pressure washer's power was not very good.

Friendly and helpful staff and quick service. Place was very busy but staff still made an effort to stay on top of everything despite understaffing.

Where to start? The worst food I have ever had at a tesco Cafe anywhere - not a patch on the Solihull one. Good points - the avocado and haloumi muffin was good, reportedly, and the napkins were a good size. The hash browns were OK. The bad stuff - The Breakfast - lukewarm beans; nearly cold sausage; tough, dry bacon; fried bread a cross between ancient leather and reinforced concrete - deep fried, overcooked, leaking an oil bath, and so solid the fork stood up. Most of this appalling food seemed to have been sitting around going cold or tough for an hour before serving. Oh, and despite 1000+ people dying from covid every week right now, not one of the staff had a mask on. pot luck what they breathed all over your fare.....

Yeah, they sell fuel for good prices and some bits and bobs in the shop. There's a hygiene station with gloves, paper towels and disinfectant available which is quite unusual but helpful.

Cheapest fuel around good for emergency milk bread etc. One of the cashiers has a face like thunder never smiles is quite rude sometimes but the other staff are friendly and helpful

Sometimes I buy petrol here but I've noticed on several occasions the petrol I've been charged for has been greater than my tank capacity. My car has a 35 liter tank but sometimes the pump will show 37 liters. Have raised calibration with the staff and reminded them Tesco have been prosecuted previously for fuel discrepancies but staff are oblivious to it. Tesco promote their environmental credentials but they charge 50p to put air in tires when Asda only charge 20p. Two stars because large roof protects from rain when filling up in winter climes.
