Booked in online for headlamp bulb replacement. Had text & email saying to go to shop. Got there and they knew nothing about it. Had to wait 40 minutes till they finished the jobs they were doing. Very poor customer service

This is the second time I've used Halfords to have the bulbs changed in my car and they are so good. The staff are really friendly and helpful and on both occasions it's taken less than an hour to have my car sorted. I'd definitely recommend.

I have never known a shopping experience be as difficult as it is in halfords team valley. Not due to the staff, they clearly try their hardest. But due to the way the company is managed- the whole experience seems to have contempt for the customer. Never enough staff, they are always ran ragged. There is always a queue, even off peak. It is impossible to "pop in and out" of this shop. Halfords as a company needs to re-evaluate its working methods. Having very few colleagues fit in the pouring rain, do stock, serve on the til and look after the custom on the shop floor clearly does not work for staff or customer satisfaction. It is a burden shopping in this store. When it comes to avoiding halfords even to buy screen wash, then there must be something patently wrong.

I had a problem with my battery light just before Christmas. As soon as the light appeared I drove straight to Halfords. The staff couldn?t have been more helpful. They checked the battery and told me it was probably the alternator. I couldn?t drive it home so they said I could sit in the shop while I waited for the recovery truck. I can?t say Thank you enough for being so thoughtful and professional.

Poor customer service. I went to Gateshead with a broken Halfords advanced tool for replacement. I was told there was none in store or in head office so I should just keep coming back to find out if they are back in stock. No further help offered. I didn't appreciate the condescending attitude from Britney either.

Book and paid online, arrived at garage for them to refuse the repair saying they don?t do that repair (replace interior bulb) despite advertising it - then contradicted self by saying if I paid £200+ labour (was advertised as £18) they would then do it. All they needed to do was remove radio - 10 minute job.

I took my car in to replace my battery after it died on me and had to be jump started, 10 point check for free and I was advised that my battery was fine, thank you for your honesty and professionalism

What should?ve been a quick click and collect order turned into a nightmare. Got the email that both my items were ready to collect, I noticed I?d missed a call from the store so tried to ring them back but no one answered. Went to collect the items anyway, a spanner and WD40 special penetrant.Arrived after a 45min journey and it turned out they didn?t actually have the spanner, the website said they did which I?m guessing is just poor stock control. Got a refund, took the WD-40 and went to collect the spanner at Kingston park who did have it.After the near 2 hour journey I arrived home to find I?d been given the wrong WD-40?.. I?d been given standard stuff. The receipt had been taped around the can which is why I didn?t notice in store, I only realised when I went to spray it.

I went to Halfords to buy a bike for my 3 year old granddaughter. We went for the Mermaid bike and asked about the stabilisers, the sales assistant said they don't come with this bike, so he showed me the options and I bought a pair for £15. The assistant was more interested in selling me the £10 bike care, than looking into why a 3 year olds bike doesn't come with stabilisers.After an hours journey home I went online and there it was with stabilisers.So I returned to the store to get a refund on the stabilisers and cancel the bike care that the assistant pushed onto me.No apology, just seemed like a laugh, I wish I cancelled the whole order, what a let down from the Halfords team.To the reply, their is nothing to resolve, just won't be back.

fitting by Dan no problem until mycar was damaged, trying to get it repaired under halfords warranty a real nightmarecontacted the store several times still waiting for return call to progress claim infact they wont answer the phone when i call. 14 days since fitting still waiting for contact from them authorising repair even though they state 24/48 hrs to get back to youdefinitely never using halfords again for anything.
