Dianne was really helpful. We were early for our appointment and she was prepared for our arrival. I would advise making an appointment with her (or any of the other staff for that matter). This allows you dedicated time with the team and they apply no pressure and offer great advice. Everything was done at our pace and if Dianne didn't know the answer to our question, she found out for us.Reading through the negative reviews, it seems that other people have turned up without an appointment and then complained that they haven't been able to speak to someone. If you do that, you are an idiot. It takes 30 seconds to book an appointment online. Then you can spend as long or as short a time as you need. We will 100% be back and look forward to dealing with Dianne in the future.

Thank you so much to Danna for her amazing service at M&P Gateshead. She tooks her time and patience in explaining everything and physically showing us how they all worked, really helped put my mind at ease. Will definitely be returning for any more baby stuff, thank you!!

Had an absolutely shocking experience today, visited the store with all intentions of buying a full car seat spin system and spoke to someone about getting it test fitted, we were told that the lady who deals with seats was with another customer so we waited, 10/15 minutes later we approached the counter to speak with a different staff member who was slouched over the counter talking (Amy I think her name is) and asked if she was still busy and the girl turned around and said ?probably still busy, she talks a lot? with a very poor attitude, we asked for a rough time scale and she told us ?Ugh I don?t know, probably 30 minutes?, baring in mind we had our 7 month old with us, the quality of service we received from this girl was awful, you could tell from her attitude and facial expressions that she had no intentions of being helpful or remotely wanting to be at work in the first place.The lady who deals with the seats did eventually finish and came to see us and told us that the seat would fit and checked stock for us (hence 2 stars given not 1) but we decided to take our purchase to another store because of the way we were treated, it?s worth paying extra for a good service.

Great experience at Mamas and Papas Team Valley. We were helped by Shelley who was outstanding. Attentive without rushing us and even helped carry the travel system out to the car. Thank you Shelley.

Been visiting this store for 2 years and never had a good experience. We've spent thousands of pounds and the staff is just rude. Today we browsed the store for 20 mins without anyone offering to help. We then decided to queue at the till where 1 staff member was taking care of a client whilst the 2 others were just standing there doing nothing. After waiting for 10 minutes at the till we were told to wait some more for an "experienced" staff member. This "experienced" staff member answered our questions by yes or no answers and didn't seem bothered at all. She could've not been more unhelpful and didn't hide that she just couldn't have cared less. She made us Google the product ourselves and didn't offer any advise nor customer service skills. It was really the last time we are going to use that store. We've given it plenty of chances and it's just a terrible experience and a waste of time every single time. Not worth the petrol spent to get there.

My wife visited the store today and she had the worst experience in terms of customer service. When we had previously bought the mamas and papas travel system the car seat that came with it was a maxi cosi one and my wife specifically asked the two main questions, whether the seat spins in the car and whether we can replace the seat with a bigger maxi cosi car seat with the same base for when the baby gets older. The person who served us answered ?yes? to both questions, however that wasn?t the case when we first opened the seat and when my wife asked the staff today, they completely refused both functionality of the car seat. Two of them were so adamant with their answers and the attitude was very bad.A few minutes later, the manager came and confirmed we can still fit a bigger car seat onto the same base up until 4 years of age. This just shows the lack of knowledge of staff and how defensive they acted with their answers in the first place. Definitely not happy with the experience.

I visited the store today (one month postpartum) with my newborn. Unfortunately I had a bad experience with one of the cashiers who was incredibly dissmisive. Not only did she not aknowlegde me because she was too busy talking to her colleague but she flicked my item towards me and also put her finger up to let me know to wait for my reciept without exchanging a single word. I decided not to say anything and leave it until I got a pedantic "you are welcome" as I was leaving. I have purchased from this store before and everybody has been lovely and welcoming, I guess she(I am not going to write her name) needs better communication training/skills as this discourages mums and future ones to buy here. I surely won't be coming back and will buy online or another store.

Just had an amazing experience at mamas and papas due to the amazing customer service from Rachel. She gave really good advice and support regarding concerns on our daughter's car seat. She was attentive and excelling during the whole conversation.(Thursday 21st April 2022, 5pm)

Disappointed by the service I received today. I visited the shop to browse and buy a few bits on my first day of maternity leave. I wanted a nappy bin, play mat, changing mat, blankets and a few items of clothing I?d been missing. None of the staff in the store made an effort to greet me or even smile at me. The shop was near enough empty and the staff were chatting amongst themselves. I felt out of place and unwelcome so I left with two rattles and none of the other items I was looking forward to getting. The girl who served me at the till was also cold and unwelcoming. I will get the other things I wanted online. It?s just such a shame.

All reviews on here seem to be old so I wanted to leave a recent one. We visited a few weeks ago in need of car seats and twin pram, possible more. We wandered around the store for around 30 minutes and nobody approached us for help. There only seemed to be one person on the till.I put this down to staffing on the day but other expectant twin mums in my area who I?m in a group with, have recently advised how terrible the service is here. One lady was told today to come back when she knew what she wanted. This spurred me to leave my review now.

Very poor customer services! Delivered wardrobe with 2 cracks in front panels flat pack, Tried emailing company over 2 weeks ago and no response. Ordered a Moses basket and rocking horse only the Moses basket turned up with no mention at all of rocking horse and can?t get hold of company at all! All paid upfront. Very distressing as company do not respond to emails and no way of contacting them!
