I have had several incidences where the receptionist doesn't listen properly to what I say or ask, they then speak to me like a naughty schoolboy in the wrong. This could be poor training, but one thing is certain the practice manager is the person who carries the responsibility for the receptionists attitude. They after all are in charge.

Reception are just rude and abrupt, they need replaced asap, and also I don?t understand why they can?t sit on reception like a normal reception?Arguing back and forth usually with one in particular, she has no people skills.Reception think they?re doctors or nurses half the time or just have a huge chip on their shoulder when asking them the simplest of tasks, make everything 10x harder than it needs to be.

Firstly i have been a patient here for about 20 years. Dr Staples, Khoury and Rahmen have been fantastic, however they clearly do not monitor the reception staff as a little look on google reviews highlights patients and the gp's are being let down by "some" of the staff. I feel they have too much control and their actions, bad attitude and lack of Professionalism is going unnoticed. I genuinely believe moving from an ne32 post code to another ne32 postcode would not have been an issue had the gp's been in charge. Anyway i Had an appointment at the glen. Seen a gp i had never heard of or seen before. Told her i have a list of things to discuss as i waited so long for an appointment and was told "well hurry as we dont have all day". One of the reasons for my appointment was my low mood and mental health so this response just floored me, left me feeling i was just a burden, useless really. Add this to the fact some of the receptionists are abrupt, nasty and have no empathy im glad i have left. Place needs closed down. If you require a bit care, empathy help and understanding look elsewhere, nazis treat POW better.

Firstly, I would like to say how thoughtful and helpful Dr Staples has been towards my elderly parents and they have nothing but praise for her.Sadly I cannot say the same for the reception staff and one in particular. My mother spoke to Dr Staples a few days ago and was told to come in for a blood (INR) check today at 2.20pm. My father who is 90 can?t be left at home as he has altzheimers as well as cancer and my mum is his full time career, there is no other help! They arrived by taxi at 2.10pm to be told the appointment was 1.40pm and that they couldn?t be seen. There was obviously some confusion over the phone with times. So my parents who are 90 and 87 years old neither in good health get a taxi in the pouring rain only to be turned away.Where is the humanity? To say I am fuming is an understatement, an INR check takes minutes. I personally think this receptionist should go on a course and learn how to treat people with respect and not disregard!!

Beyond a joke really. Can never get an appointment always referred to a pharmacy or told to go to A&EA&E state they're overrun by surgery's sending people there for minor reasons.I agree it's the receptionists, 2 of them are nice and talk to you as should be. The others treat you like you're not allowed to be there or ring them. When your children are unwell you expect help not to be talked down to. They're supposed to be there to help aren't they? That's what I thought? All I've got the past year is more stress ontop of whatever illness is the reason to contact them.

They are an absolute waste of time. Trying to get an appointment is a nightmare. Past two times I've needed to go ive had no contact back with any form of results/feedback.Even when gaining a prescription for my baby son they've sent the prescription to South shields for some unknown reason with the pharmacy next door even stating they have no idea why the would do that (Past two occasions). Then yes the entitled receptionists need replaced ASAP.

My mum came in looking to register, there's a little more to it but it is her personal business so I will not be going into detail here. The staff treated her appallingly right from the get go. She didn't do anything to deserve this kind of treatment and behaviour. I suggest that some of the receptionists (not all), do some training or maybe read a book on "how to treat people respectfully for dummies."

Sick of these e appointments. Tried to do one online yesterday and uploaded photos, then at the end it tells me to call the surgery for an appointment. I did that and the receptionist said that a GP would call me. No call by 12pm today so called them and was told they were busy and would call soon, called again during my tea break 3pm and asked if they could call after my last appointment at work and she said she'd put a note on. Shortly after that I get a message to say an appointmant has been booked with the nurse on 14th Jan. Called back to complain as I have had 2 nights, with very little sleep due to my health issue again, was told it would be passed to the nurse and she will contact me and that no one would call me today. I understand that these appointments are done within 24 to 48 hours, but you would think that when a patient says that its affecting their sleep, they would not be kept waiting. I can see another restless night and going into work tomorrow half asleep. Why can't the surgery go back to the pre-pandemic way of working. Every other place has!!

Doctors are good when you get to see them seem to put a lot over to nurses, only to be referred back over to doctor and when you cancel appointment this sometimes dose not happen and end up with threatening letters to say you will be struck off for not attending and then the wonder why you have an attitude maybe if they could do the job there were asked to people won?t get annoyed.blood pressure still high for a year now and still not sorted what a joke .
