Sadly the great B&Q is trying to be an online market, teaming up with sellers who provide disgraceful quality products without the ability for recourse. ordered a shelf through B&Q website which transpired to be supplied by Armstrong Cheshire and we recieved a piece of timber that may have been in a skip. B&Q cant take the complaint eventhough the order is through their website and the useless Armstrong Cheshire are ignoring emails. for some reason I am unable to upload images to google review but it is loaded on trustpilot

Attitude of the older guy on the closed timber cutting machine was disgusting. Young lad was spot on. After making the trip here because Washington's machine was off, we've now ended up at North Shields to get our wood cut.

Unbelievable poor attitude and service today.Rang last week because I had lost a receipt needed for my expenses. I explained I could show transaction and date on banking app. No problem just come in and we will get you a copy.Great... went in today and Dave ( Duty Manager) said sorry not company policy !All I want is a copy of a purchase I can prove I paid for .. He abruptly told me it was my fault for losing the receipt ... I know that but was told you could get me a copy. Sorry but not our policy !!I have never heard anything like it .. not great customer service

YOU CAN B&Q IT BUT THEY WONT DO IT!Went to buy 2 pine boards for a small shelving project - it was exactly what I wanted. However I am a pensioner and I am not a very good ?Handyman? I asked the store to cut the two boards I was buying to the lengths I needed. It would have been 2 cuts on each board (that?s 4 cuts in total) and would have given me nice straight ends which I could never do with a hand saw. They refused saying they only cut sheet wood. The cutting machine was standing idle and it would have taken only a minute or two to do this small job. The chap I spoke to spent more time arguing with me than it would have taken to cut the wood. What a really helpful store. I left the board and went elsewhere.

Strange day at B&Q! Firstly, we had the young paint matcher who could not be bothered to help. Beware the colour matching wall that makes the palette colours look different as soon as you pick them up?Next onto kitchens. Two staff stood and ignored us and yes we were and are in the market for a new kitchen but not from B &Q now. Finally, the cash out. What is the point of self service cash out if it fails at every turn. Wasted time and then told to use the staff operated conveyor. In summary, never again. Would i recommend absolutely not.The burger van seems very popular and the staff serving were interacting with there customers. Lesson for someone there?..

A very big store with a massive range of stock. Plenty of free parking too. However, despite a big selection of the item I wanted listed on the website, absolutely nothing in store to look at!

The shop is fine but the last three times I've been here there has been a massive queue and it has been a shambles getting served with poor communication about which till is working, or not working. I noticed last time you can also get served at customer services which seems to be a way of skipping the queue.

Big thank you to Stephen in the gardening section. Nothing was too much trouble. Did a local stock check, loaded my trolley with screening and advised on how to attach same. Customer service spot on from this gentleman. Thank you

Called into the Scotswood branch on a wet Monday morning as we needed some paint mixing. A lovely lady called Amanda was on hand to give advice as we had been having problems getting the correct shade. Amanda, you are without doubt an absolute star. Thank you so much much.

Thank you so much for allowing dogs into your store, even though she had to stay in trolley I took a blanket and she sat in the trolley no bother. Evefyone commented saying eeee dumdum know dogs were allowed i explained unless theyre an assist dog they must be carried or stay in trolley. Wish all shops would adopt this dog friendly attitude. I rang before going to ask....shy bairns get nowt...Well done B and Q x

I don't rate this store, layout is quite unique in B&Q terms, it's up on a hill, so steep climb up to it if the car/van is loaded.Definitely not set of trade zone, very limited parking. However as few people use it, they do have stocks when other stores dont

Fantastic for all DIY needs. Built my daughter a themed study desk with all materials from here. Staff on floor were very helpful, gave great suggestions about the laminate and paints.
