Me and my husband went here about a month ago for breakfast and we honestly couldn?t fault it - the food was good, the service was good and it was just generally a great experience but then fast forward to this afternoon and we fancied another breakfast so decided to go here again, we were about to spend the best part of £30 because we also had a £20 Eldon Square gift card. Unfortunately due to issues with public transport we were running late, as I?m heavily pregnant my husband ran ahead to try and get us a table in time for breakfast knowing it stops at midday. My husband arrived at exactly 11:59am and was told that they wouldn?t be serving us breakfast. We were disappointed in that response as they didn?t even bother to check with the kitchen whether they could accommodate us, now I would completely understand if we were 10 or 15 minutes late but the fact that my husband literally arrived at 12pm on the dot I think this was a bit unfair. It meant that we just went elsewhere instead, at a time when Frankie & Benny?s are closing restaurants up and down the country I?m not quite sure how they can afford to turn any business away. The Metrocentre branch always accommodates us if we?re running 5 minutes late by still allowing us a breakfast. We will be reluctant to visit this branch in future which is a real shame as their breakfasts are delicious! We also asked if they accepted the Eldon Square gift cards and they said no, when every other shop inside the centre does. Overall not a great experience today!

Visited this restaurant for the first time with my wife around midday on Saturday as a welcome shopping break. We must have timed it well because we got a table no problem but a queue soon formed after us. The positives first - the food was great, we both opted for the "classic dog" which was simple and tasty along with a soft drink each. The only downside was the service. Although the waiting staff were friendly enough (apart from an older guy who seemed to be very bored with his job), we had problems catching their attention when we needed them - whether this was to place our order, or get our bill - and this took some doing. I know the place was busy but they need to pay more attention to the seated customers and not just those queuing. All in all, the food won over, so I'm sure we'll be back.

Very disappointed with my meal today at frankie and bennys.Starter of southern fried chicken was nice but omg the spaghetti bolgenes was horrible, so bland little bit mince no sauce spaghetti over cooked had to leave it, my friends dinner was the same who had hot dog in a bin. The bun was a brioche bun and the hotdog was like it had been warmed in the oven, the onions were pkt onions deep fried and greasy not fresh even the fries weren't nice.Wouldn't come back ?

Think I?ve only ever had Frankie & Bennys once before years ago and wasn?t that great. But thought we?d try this one when I finished work. So happy we did! Was sooooo good! Staff were friendly and welcoming. Checked if we had any allergies. We got a pizza each and my son got a garlic bread, freshly made on sourdough ?. We also got buffalo chicken loaded fries and they were to die for! Will definitely be back.

My recent visit to this restaurant was deeply unsatisfactory, a stark contrast to the usual standard. Our order consisted of two courses accompanied by drinks. Despite the restaurant being relatively empty, our service experience was frustratingly slow and disorganised. We endured a lengthy wait of 25 minutes before our starters arrived, and to our dismay, the drinks followed only after we had finished our starters. This wasn't an isolated incident, as we noticed similar service delays at other tables.Our main course, which we eagerly anticipated, took another 25 minutes to arrive, and to add to our discontent, the side of fries we ordered was missing. Attempts to flag down a waiter to rectify this were futile. After our meal, we promptly requested the bill, only to find that we were incorrectly charged for the fries we never received.Upon addressing this issue with the waiter, his response was far from professional. He crumpled the receipt in his hands and disregarded our complaint, choosing instead to tend to other tables. After an additional 15-minute wait, he returned with an inability to amend the bill and asked us to manually calculate the new total without the fries.Overall, this experience was not only disappointing but also appalling in terms of service quality. There was a complete lack of apology or acknowledgment of our dissatisfaction. I hope this feedback prompts the necessary improvements to ensure better experiences for future customers.

The burger and chips were acceptable. Service was reasonably quick. Price a bit high in my view for what I got.

We decided to go into Franky & Benny's on our last visit to Newcastle and I'm so glad we did. We received a warm friendly welcome from Nick who showed us to our table, reviewed my food intolerances, offering a small tablet that enabled me to check menu details. We selected breakfast meals which were quickly brought to us by Jordan, another friendly,team member. The meals were hot, tasty and well pricedThis is a restaurant I would recommend to anyone looking for friendly, polite, well informed staff, with a wide range of tasty food, can accommodate a diverse range of food allergies and intolerances and is set comfortable surroundings with a relaxed atmosphereDietary restrictions: I have a number of food intolerances that were discussed and I was given a small tablet to enable me to explore the options available to me. Went for lunch today. Was having a bit of a bad day then my granddaughter knocked a drink over me. Fern, the waitress was absolutely brilliant, she cleaned it all up and she couldn't do enough for us. Thanks so much Fern.

Food was nice enough without being amazing but portions small and expensive. The amount of chips served with the burger seemed particularly small since it cost £15. Serving staff very friendly and helpful.Dietary restrictions: Excellent for allergies, separate allergy menu available.

While I was ordering (using the website) me and my friends were choosing our food and we were being harassed by the workers asking us multiple times if we had ordered yet. It made us feel very uncomfortable and pressured. Will not be coming back here again very poor customer service. Even after we ordered we were still questioned on our ordering process.

I had the Dirty Dog it was delicious ?
