A small Asda, but a lot cheaper than convenience stores near by, eg Asda own brands, varied selection of goods, and opening hours are early to late, staff are very helpful on self service checkouts.

Check your amountsResponse to owner : prices are different on the shelf to what they scan at the till. Staff get aggressive when they have to refund the difference.

It's an alright place but it is a bit overpriced as if I go to B&M or Iceland I find the same products but cheaper yeah it has free parking and an ATM but there's also ATM's and a few places to park around shields.

The staff in this establishment makes me sick!! Was violently KICKED out the shop at closing time even though there was plenty of time to spare. Left with no shopping and we are now starving because of the incompetent staff! So rude will not be returning, such a bad experience, felt helpless at an critical moment in my life, no helpful nor understanding workers to have considerable empathy. I AM BOILED!!!!!! Came for a nice stay and got treated like trash!

So, i went into the veg isle to get some nice cucumber, this old lady had taken the last one!!! i had to teach her a lesson, so i used the cucumber right in the isle. She didnt want it after that. Reason im rating it 2/5 is cause i got arrested for public indecency.

It maybe small but you can get most things and it is now the only "real" supermarket in North Shields town centre.Friendly and helpful staff with free parking for 2hrs I think.

Staff are mislabelle staff don't help u what so ever ! The staff all do is chatting they don't do any work the lot them needs be sacked and replace l say closed it down northshileds is a dump anyway nothing there its 100 per cent a dump that's a fact l feel sorry 4 the people who live in northshileds what they have in town center nothing a run down dirty dump that's what l think this place doesn't deserve a star l rate it 0/5 l am suprize people are still living there again adsa getting dirty and the staff don't do nothing apart from chatting allday long l seen it they need new management in that adsa do a clear out with the staff sack the lot off them l say

Terrible customer service . Awful Asda store that never has anyone serving on tills. Staff that stand and watch while you struggle with a two year old to try and work the self scan. It's the same every time staff never offer to go on tills despite other asda stores doing this

My last visit to ASDA North Shields was a very good experience due to a particular female member of staff who did whatever she could to help me carry out and complete my shopping with the minimum of stress and fuss. Having had a couple of shoulder operations some days are more challenging than others and she did what was necessary to get my shopping done. I will be shopping there in the future.

Store small but covers basic goods. Beware of parking. Am disabled and Covid 19 extends shopping times even further. Did not go anywhere but Asda but turned out I was over 1 hour in car park. Fine of £80 (reduced to £40 for early payment) just received. Surely Asda needs to sort this. It is easy to take more than an hour if you are doing a family shop never mind other restrictions.

SAME COMMENT as Tracy Black: Friendly staff if you are lucky to see one! Not a good shopping experience as there is seldom a person on the till and the self serve tills are a nightmare! It would be much better if someone was on the till as I'm sure it would be a better, faster and more customer friendly experience
