Can't praise this place enough. Everything about it has changed for the better. Staff welcome you with a smile, the service is great and they are so friendly. The food is first rate and service is great. If you haven't been here you're missing a treat.

I have heard very good reviews so we decided to give it a go three of us had the mixed grill and all three were bitterly disappointed meats were very dry one of our party took one bite a left a full plate it came with chips but we did not get individual portions we got a bowl between usFor the price it was very poor value... read full comment

Just had the worst fish n chips ever. Chips were limp.n soggy the fish uncooked. Told staff and got no.reply to sending most of the fish back. Was a recky to see what its like to go back with family but that won't be happening literally sat outside feeling sick.
The Harbour Lights opened in 1834 (previously The Crown Inn) making it the 2nd oldest pub in South Shields. Today you can still come, relax, and enjoy the picturesque scenery while treating yourself to the finest in traditional cuisine and drinks.
