I have used this garage twice now and both times they had some poor excuses as to why my car wasn't ready keeping it a day longer than promised. The 1st time I had an aux belt repair and they told me the wrong belt had been sent. The 2nd time I was told it was the suspension arms and anti roll bar and the price seemed reasonable, they kept the car over the weekend and were.meant to return it the Monday. They contacted me because of a "delay in parts being sent" and that it would be Tuesday, when I went Tuesday to collect it the gut dropping it off said "if I hadn't said they'd have left it till tomorrow" I work out of my car!The owner told me he had paid for the nuts they'd had to break during fitting and that his daughter would ho mad at him having things away. I left and looked at the invoice 1. He'd charged me for the nuts 2. It wasn't the antiroll bar it was the arb bushes and when I checked the order numbers with carparts and eurocarparts they had ordered the cheapest parts and almost trebled the price of parts. I asked a garage owner I have met since and he said that parts suppliers generally do the parts at a reduced price and you then pay the full price so the garage get a 10% premium, robbery!!!I went back with the same squeak i went with 2 days after the repairs to be told it was another set of bushes that were aging but not enough to fail and mot and they'd stick some grease on but unlikely to help. I sprayed each new bush n joint with wd40 and guess what?!??! Its gone.Needless to say I won't be back. telling customers there have been delays because they take to much on is one thing another is the astronomical mark up they put on, borderline fraud!Service: Steering & suspension repair

Family run garage. Always very friendly and helpful. Been taking the car here for years and they are fair and honest. Originally went here to get a second opinion on an MoT that had failed. They passed the car and explained the "faults" from the previous garage and why they weren't faults. Highly recommend.

I had a flat tyre one evening and contacted North East Garages (Whitley lodge) As it was 5pm they said they would look at it in the morning. Within 2 hours they phoned to say that there was a nail in the tyre in a place that couldn't be safely repaired so a new tyre was necessary. This was arranged and fitted by 3PM at a reasonable price.Good service.

Well where to start?The honest, kind and professional phone calls with Georgia?The patience she had with me?A friendly family run business?The fact they took the car when clearly they were very busy, only because I was on holiday and stuck 400miles from home?The fact that they didn't charge me an arm and a leg for work they did do?The fact that she guided me in the right direction so I would know where and how to get the car back on the road??The service is top notch and if I lived closer it would be my full time garage!If you are unsure that you should use this garage... don't second guess yourself get on the phone to Georgia and get booked in!!Thank you team :)Service: Auto engine diagnostic
