The elderly lady who works behind the counter seriously needs to read up again on her customer service skills. Extremely rude, doesn?t give any eye contact and topped it off by telling my mum to ?Go elsewhere!? during a routine license renewal. A real shame when all the other staff there are helpful and professional.

Dispite being the only customer in the shop was ignored by the two male works (in there 50s)as they chatted like two teenage girls left after waiting for 5mins

Arrived 10 minutes before closing with my bike. Parked my bike outside and was about to walk in when the shutter stared closing without warning, almost knocking my £400 bike over.

Went for passport renewal. Quick, convenient, professional. Spoke on the telephone before coming in, explained everything and very helpful. Would use again for any such important service without concern.

Searched online the opening hours which clearly stated "open until 18:00 today". Travelled to the branch to renew my driving licence but I was told they couldn't do that as the 'system' goes down at 16:45 and unfortunately it is now 16:50. How is anyone with a full time job expected to use this service if that is the case?! Also, why advertise it is open until 18:00 if that clearly isn't the case.

There is usually a queue, but the staff are helpful and work as quick as they can. There is a good range of posting equipment, boxes, envelopes, tape etc and a good range of cards, wrapping paper and gift bags.

I used to use the old West Monkseaton post office until it closed down, and this one is terrible. On a Monday just after ten there was a huge queue and only one till open. I didnâ??t wait around to see how long it would take to get served!
