Just decided to stay overnight and take in Bonfire night . Room was clean and it's handy to have Beefeater linked to it. The only confusing aspect was the leaflet in the room indicated that you could order food to your room but didn't say how , it just said to contact frontdesk which I did to no avail.Overall pleasant stay though , I'll be back.

Sea views if you're lucky (I wasn't) and a few minutes' stroll from a fantastic view of St Mary's Island. Good location and plenty of parking (paid between 10am and 6pm though). Rooms were the most comfortable I've had in a Premier Inn but the Beefeater restaurant next door left a lot to be desired. Understaffed (although the staff were really pleasant) so food can arrive lukewarm if they're busy elsewhere. If I hadn't been on the prepaid meal deal, I'd have popped to Spanish City next door and filled up at Trenchers.

The hotel is in a lovely location and nicely decorated. However, the rooms have ventilation on permanently regardless of whether you have you heating on or not, and it's a very annoying noise when you're trying to sleep.

Wonderful location, right on sea front..Clean room, simple but well appointed..Pleasant staff, friendly..Rooms: Clean and well equiped..Nearby activities: Beach a few yards away..St. Marys lighthouse a few miles walk..but well worth it..Beautiful sea views..

This is one of the nicest Premier Inns we've stayed at, a friendly greeting on check in and with a wonderful sea view and down the bay. We had an accessible room on the ground floor which was great and a good size, even a king size bed. The Beefeater next door is a good place for an unlimited full English breakfast to watch the sunrise. The weather was fantastic when we went so we sat outside and had a nice cold beer. The main challenge at staying at this hotel is car parking. With just a few spaces at the back which were full, you have to park in the pay and display Spanish City car park which on a sunny summer weekend day gets absolutely rammed. There were people parked everywhere. Prepare to wait for a space! Out of season I guess it's probably much easier. A common thing with Premier Inns, the windows wouldn't open so the air smelt rather stagnant. Good air conditioning though which was very welcome in the heatwave!

Absolute GEM! The location of this Premier Inn really is a 5* stay. The beaches are award winning, clean, beautiful. The reception staff are pleasant, welcoming, personable and the room was perfectly comfortable and adequate for a family. The only downside from our stay is that we couldn?t stay longer ?

we stayed at premier inn whitley bay over the august bank holiday weekend, the hotel is ideally located virtually on the sea front, the accessible rooms are located on the ground floor with seaviews and well insulated double glazing, the wet room was ideal with plenty of room to manuvore with a wheelchair although for some reason when using the excellent, easy to use shower the water didn't want to drain away properly(not blocked), solved problem with a few well placed bath towels.Hotel staff were pleasant and nothing was too much trouble eg my wife needed the bed raising, which was carried out within the hour.Beefeater restaurant and bar are attached to the hotel which served the usual fayre regards food and beer, few other different eateries at hand, nice fish restaurant inside the newly renovated Spanish city building with handy takeaway. The location for disabled parking is situated at the rear of hotel with about 4/5 spaces, whilst we were there seemed to be used as normal parking bays, not to worry there's a car park to the side with more disabled parking.overall we enjoyed our stay at the Premier inn and found it a good base to explore the many attractions locally. We spent a morning/afternoon looking round the National trust Delaval hall and grounds, not a place just for adults but open areas and climbing/play areas for the younger ones

Stayed here over August bank holiday with my wife and 2 kids. Great location and super friendly check in lady. It's joined onto a beefeater where we had breakfast. Had to wait 45 minutes as it was chaos with staff not knowing what to do. Daughter thought she had unlimited breakfast which wasn't case as brought a tiny plate of food and said that was kids. Odd. Paid for the fast WiFi as son has severe autism and relys on keeping to routine. It was coming up at 7.7mbps download which struggle to run one device. Awful. 1st night was bit noisy but bank holiday maybe account for that. 2nd night we went for a meal and was met with 2 gangs of kids trying to fight beside our table. When they eventually removed them they kept coming back. After spending £126 on meal has to wait 20 mins for bill so gave up. Woke at 2 15 am by someone repeat knocking the door. That was enough to wake my son and then he couldn't get back to sleep. So we checked out at 9.30 am for the 5 hr drive. Report all this to reception but she offered to refund one morning breakfast. It's a shame as a great location but just chaos. Have emailed customer service but they haven't responded.

No issues with the room or reception staff however, whenever I book a meal there are always problems associated. This time it was the availability of staff ( one person waiting on all the tables, she was wonderful but can only do so much)and lack of choice on menu as my first 4 Choices were not available so had to eat something not that keen on. Not good when looking forward to a nice meal

Lovely area. Lovely room. Lovely staff both in the hotel and the Beefeater restaurant next door. A big shout-out to Rob in the restaurant. 5* all the way. Have stayed a few times before. Each time the same level of happy, good survive.

My partner and I stayed for 2 nights on our first visit to Whitley Bay. The staff were exceptional and helpful with information. Booking in for breakfast at the Beefeater was very easy and no issue is too big or small. We had a double room which was spotless, spacious and modern. Although the window couldn?t open, effective air conditioning is provided which was wonderful. They provide shower gel, hand wash, a kettle, tea and coffee, mugs and glasses. Hanging space and a drawer were also incredibly helpful to have in the room. Our bathroom had a bath with an overhead shower which was delightful. Breakfast at the Beefeater was incredible. A really good range of options for different dietary requirements are available and for a very reasonable price. Hot food is cooked upon request and tastes lovely. The staff were also incredibly helpful and really friendly. We have been fortunate to stay in a few different premier inns and this is by far one of our favourites. Its clean, feels new(ish) and most importantly, safe. It was quiet at night and is absolutely and rightly a popular place to stay. I would thoroughly recommend this Premier Inn to anybody.

Fab location, Whitley Bay is lovely and the hotel is in a perfect seafront spot. Bog standard Premier Inn room layout which was clean and functional. Our room wasn?t ideal though as it was on the ground floor at the back of the building looking into the car park, and any cars parked outside our window could see directly into our room. We arrived at 2.45pm for a 3pm check in and the reception staff wanted to charge us £10 for an early check in, which seemed a bit ridiculous so we just stood in reception for 15 minutes rather than pay the charge, not great customer service. We usually enjoy Premier Inn breakfasts but the service on this occasion was horrendous - we had to chase our order twice and when it did arrive it was wrong and cold. We ended up going to Di Meo?s round the corner instead, which was far superior.

Premier Inn Whitley Bay never disappoints! We come every year for the fantastic location and amazing views. Staff are always so accommodating and the hotel is so comfortable - we can?t wait to come back!

Lovely hotel venue on the seafront. Hotel was clean and the staff welcoming. Sadly the hotel did not have windows that would open leaving the room full of stale air. The evening meal at the Beefeater was extremely poor. Many items were missing from the menu, the starters took 40 minutes to arrive and the mains a further 25 minutes. The food was poor quality and very little choice for non meat eaters. Staff has obviously been told to upsell the expensive mocktails.

Great location for the beach and sea from with a Beefeater attached. Staff where super friendly and helpful. Two very quiet and comfortable nights. We got parked in the car park but had to wait about 20 mins to get a place on one day - only £3 per day !!! The one next door is £15.
