Great little shop in Quay Street Ammanford. Usually open weekdays and Saturday. Amazing how much is crammed in here. It is a place where you feel there may be a hidden gem to be discovered. I saw a gentleman leaving with a new suit for a wedding having paid just £10. There are clothes and household items from £1. There was also Royal Worcester and Doulton figures for a few pounds. I am always surprised by the amount of new stock every time I go. Monday is a good day to call for fresh bargains and the friendliest welcome, although I have found every visit eventful and rewarding. Thoroughly recommended for bargain hunters!

Great experience when adopting Tilly from west wales poundies 2 years ago. Huw, debs & Lianne we?re on the other end of the phone when we had any concerns..Would recommend west wales poundies again and again to anyone who was looking to adopt a dog.A charity that want homes for their dogs, but the homes they see best for the dog.Best decision we made ?

What amazing work these people do, tirelessly working to give better lives to dogs in need and securing them a second chance. It saddens me when people see fit to slate volunteers, it really does. They deserve medals not criticism. We adopted a dog a couple of years ago amd for d they were honest and upfront about the dog and some of the challenges we might face. It is not profit making and I admire how every penny of adoption fees is put to good use and enables more rescues. Well done and thank you!

Lianne the owner is very rude and arrogant, spoke with venom when I complained her price of £400 for a puppy is extortionate for a charity led pound where dogs were once free to good homes and without strings attached! She really needs to be more respectful to public opinions rather than get her pitch fork and hecklers out soon as someone holds an opinion that doesn?t fill her pockets! She laughs and mocks people for not being able to afford her high prices and commitments! People want a dog for a companion not the charity?s demands and abuse for complaining about your prices! Rotten attitude from a snobby owner who thinks she?s above anyone ! Good job she ain?t an MP!! Disgraceful behaviour and attitude !!!

I'm truly humbled by the dedication and the passion of these guys. Picking up the broken pieces of pet owners who have for whatever reason given up, abandoned, or damaged their dogs.... Giving those the dogs the veterinary care, the rehabilitation, the time, the gentle encouragement to prepare them for new beginnings, and then doing their utmost to match each dog with a forever home. It's not easy. It's demanding, sometimes it's heartbreaking, it can be thankless, yet every day, they do it. Again and again. Over and over. Without a break. No taking a few weeks off, no 'I'm too exhausted'. They just keep doing it. 365 days of the year. And they do it brilliantly! I take my hat off to you. I bows at your feet. Keep it up you guys, you are amazing!Lots of dogs have amazing, wonderful homes because of Leanne and her team of volunteers. Luna living her best life thanks to them! Not my dog - just one of literally hundreds they help every year.

What an incredible job Lianne and her team of volunteers do at West Wales Poundies for these rescue dogs. Thank you for our gorgeous boy Alfie. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. They always have each dog's welfare as top priority and are very thorough when assessing them and matching them with the best possible human family to ensure they are going to their forever home.
