What a turnaround. I had to set up PoA and Sara, customer service, was outstanding. She spent a long time sorting things out and helping me through the process with advice, and went over and above to assist.Unfortunately, although HO set it up, there were a couple of issues. I returned today, and was greeted by the "Manager" Nia, who said "you don't need to see Sara". Disappointingly, 15 minutes of discussion (or should I say a monologue) resulted in no help whatsoever. I will not divulge the details of the request however she was more concerned with 'implying' that by stating the account holders could not understand the call centre people I was racist, (exact words "you need to be careful") and that certain things I stated happened could not have happened. You do not get gold stars by implying your customers are lying.No doubt the area manager will be happy she has had her EDI training (side note: all staff are female and white, so don't try the lecturing on me), but this is why customer service staff are good at what they do, and managers should stick to "managing".So my thanks to Sara, but your manager has let you down. My relatives will be switching away from Santander. I'll review my own account in the coming weeks.

Visited the Bangor branch today needing advice on being scammed.I cannot praise them enough for their profesionalism kindness and caring attitude.I wish I had taken the ladies name because she desrves recognition for the way she handled my query. So grearful for Bangor Santander branch. After many failed attempts at solving a problem over the phone saff member Jackie Jones excellent customer service solved it in minutes, nothing was to much trouble for her she even helped me up and down on the lift. A highly pleasant experience. Can't beat face to face service. Thank you very much from a very happy customer.

Really dont like the new touch cashpoint. Its not very user friendly , screen is confusing and there is a delay after you touch the screen and as there is no sound, you dont know if its registered your tap. Buttons are comforting and tactile and are instant. I'll be using another nearby.
