“Great location in-between Brecon town & Hay. A gorgeous coaching in with tasteful and claiming interiors that respond well to the grade two architecture. Check in was welcoming and wholesome family running the B&B. Room 5 was delightful with super king bed and art wallpaper for a cwtchy interior. Sparkling clean bathroom too. Breakfast was filling and accommodating for Veggie options.”

Always a cheery welcome and such a lovely atmosphere.I could and have spent many happy hours in the beer garden.Lovely home cooked food although we didn’t eat today. “We stayed for 2 nights dinner bed and breakfast. We also took our Cocker Spaniel with us and he was made to feel very welcome in our room and the restaurant. The room was very comfy and even had covers on the seat for our dog, it was very warm but we were staying on the hottest weekend of the year. It was a great base for exploring and walking in the Brecon Beacons. The highlight however was the food, it was some of the best food we have ever tasted and the side dishes fri the kitchen garden were wonderful, my wife is still talking about the tomato salad we shared with our Hake and Louise’s Cauliflower based vegetarian main. The other evening we had the steak and the cod loin again perfect. The beer and wine were also really good and a great selection. We will definitely be back.”

“Had Sunday lunch here recently. Can honestly say this was the best Sunday lunch I have had in a pub or restaurant. Loads of food. Great value for money. There were 8 of us at the table. Nothing was to much trouble 10 out of 10 all round.”

“Amazing place, the service is impeccable, really good food, customer service and lovely staff. We loved the decoration and the meals..dog friendly and very cozy. We went to eat at 2:45pm and they served us, a family came after us and then another couple who were hiking and they ate as well. Amazing service! They make you feel welcome and at home. The same with the food, is like when grandma cooked for the family.Will go back for sure!! And recommend 100%”
