Wonderful café bookshop. Charmingly decorated, with great coffee and cake. Friendly staff. Seems to be a useful community hub too.

Quirky cafe with lots of seating. Good selection of food and drinks. Food lovely but service and arrival of food a little slow.

Dropped by Easter Sunday after a walk to the water falls.Super place loads of books.I can imagine that this is quite a busy place on a nice day.Party of 6 for lunch.Sunday lunch seemed a very good price with an option of having 1,2 or 3 courses fellow diners finished every bit of theirs. We opted for sandwiches /toasties which also proved to be great. The van kept coming back and forth delivering what I presume were Sunday lunchesWould definitely recommend.

Whilst visiting a friend in Talgarth, we decided to order the Sunday roast as a take away. We deliberately ordered later to avoid the lunchtime rush and the meal arrived on time and was piping hot. I had the turkey and my friend had the nut roast, accompanied with roast and mashed potatoes, carrots, cauliflower, peas, beans, cabbage, stuffing and gravy. All beautifully cooked and delicious. To be honest it was more than we could manage, so we saved half for the next day! This made it very good value. Highly recommended.

I enjoy coming here. Its a lovely place with a great small community /village atmosphere. It provides a safe and warm space for community groups as well as for walkers, hungry folk, or simply for those in need of a quiet, comfy space for coffee. There are many options on the menu, both food and drink wise. Reasonable prices and time to wait for food. Customer service is fantastic. The lady serving everyone couldn't have been more friendly or attentive. The place is lined with books to browse or buy. The Strand sits at the bottom of the old road, a fabulous walk which at the moment has snowdrops peeping out everywhere.Sunday dinner here is great, but book or come early to avoid disappointment. The strand offers delivery too.A hidden gem.Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian and vegan optionsKid-friendliness: Child friendlyParking: There is on street parking , but do be aware that it's limited. Some of it is free. Locals have to park too if you drive there. The traffic warden is always on top of their game here, too, so make sure you look at the signs and the lines!Wheelchair accessibility: One very low step to get in. It's manageable, but not a lot of room inside for the chairs. It's better in summer when there is seating outsideDietary restrictions: All dietary requirements are catered for if you ask.

Arrived at 11 am on Thursday morning looking forward to a cooked breakfast as we had researched places on way home from Powis. Waited till 5 past 11 and rang the number on window, lady said she wasn't opening till 11.30 that day. Didn't help me much as I was freezing cold and needed the loo. Perhaps I'll get chance to sample the breakfast next year when I'm passing by.
