What is it with Co-Op stores in Wales. English ones you get lots of local products and I always like to take something back over the bridge . But barely anything here. Show some pride in your area FFS, tons of great products that deserve showcasing.

Avoid!!! Every time I have been in here the queue is enormous whilst the elderly woman behind the counter is busy chatting away with her pensioner friends. You?re guaranteed to be stuck behind some old dear who?s just picked up her monthly shopping. For the sake of your sanity go elsewhere.

USE THE NEW ALDI DON'T BOTHER WITH THIS STORE , YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!I entered your store this afternoon 04/12/2021 at 16:17. I collected my goods and went to pay.Upon reaching the self serving till the till had been previously used and left unpaid so I was not able to use it. There was a person on the other till that had the same issue, meaning both self served tills blinking red and unusable.Upon looking at the queue of 7 customers and there only being one person on the tills a (short late 50s lady with glasses) who was more interested in finishing her conversation with the lady that she was serving that she she clearly knew.I simply asked her to reset the self serve tills upon which she aggressively said:"just wait your not the only one here."I said:"I wasn't being rude I wasn't asking you to stop talking to your friend, I would just would like to pay for my items and the tills aren't working."She again aggressively told me:"Don't be so rude and wait."I said that's great customer service and asked for her name which she declined and proceeded to cover her name badge up so I couldn't get it, which was a clear sign she knew she was in the wrong and provided appalling customer service. She huffed at me and instead of fixing the issue just switched the till off so I couldn't use it, which led me to leaving my items in the basket and walking off and buying elsewhere (the new ALDI).With a new ALDI opening nearby and such customer service CO-OP provides, I will no longer use this store and will advise others to do the same.

Good morning. I would like to share with you the situation in which I participated yesterday. I shopped before work at the chain store in Caldicot. I joined the basket with two red bulls. I am aware that despite the fact that I am 29 years old, I look very young, and the sale of such products is subject to age restrictions, so when the cashier asked me for an ID, I gave her my ID on which there is a photo and of course the date of birth. Unfortunately, the purchase was not finalized, I was asked to receive a PASSPORT. I am asking the cashier, in the meantime your manager appeared, why I have to show my passport if I have European documents with photo and date of birth. I would add that the driver's license did not satisfy the ladies either. The manager said that they would not sell me a drink because I do not look more than 25 years old and I should have a passport to confirm my age. I come from Poland and I felt simply discriminated against. Queue of people in the store, and despite 29 years I can not buy a drink .. I look very young but I have documents confirming my age. Maybe the ladies were jealous that I look ten years younger than I actually have? I asked my husband to buy these two redbules. I followed him into the store and, unfortunately, my husband, who is even older than me, also passed away because I quote "you are with her". That was too much. I am disappointed and disappointed. They treated me like a minor, and made me feel ashamed in front of a full store of people. If I had no documents, there would be no problem, I understand that age is good. But I had them, and even two. I will not carry that passport for "ladies" from the store. I would like to warn other foreigners living in the UK that if they look young, even if they have relevant INTERNATIONAL ID documents and want to buy a red bull, don't let them do so at the Cooperative store in Caldicot. The service and the manager will demand a passport from you before buying and you can leave without a can Ps. Thank you to the staff for having to spend the whole day at work after a sleepless nightð??

A well balanced convenience shop with most of the commonly needed items. And a post office randomly inserted in the drinks aisle... for when you want to get drunk and post a letter. Grammerly hates me
