Ah, the ever-reliable Tesco Express on Salisbury Road, Cardiff. It's my go-to spot for last-minute groceries, lunchtime sandwiches, and those occasional "oh no, I forgot milk!" panic dashes. I've been frequenting this branch for years, so I thought it was high time I shared my experiences in a proper review.Location and Vibe:Situated right on Salisbury Road, this Tesco Express is perfectly placed for commuters, students, and residents alike. It's easily accessible by bus or car, with plenty of street parking nearby (if you can snag a spot!). Inside, the store is compact but efficiently laid out, with clear signage and aisles that aren't too narrow for a quick trolley dash. The vibe is definitely "no-frills functional," but that's part of its charm. It's always clean and well-lit, with friendly staff who seem genuinely happy to help you find what you need.

firstly, this shop has the finest selection of every item you could ever wish for, friends from other Tesco?s have even pointed out their immaculate selection. The next huge star is the soundtrack. You don?t need to go to pryzm for a night out babes. Just try this Tesco iits all you need open till 11 pm you can skip the bar in the club just turn up here. finally, the customer service from the bouncer on the door. Incredible. The politest and nicest man ever to roam the streets of Cathays. my conclusions are that this place is one of the highlights of the Salisbury Road experience, I would even go as far as to put this on my top 10 list of things to do in Cardiff, above the castle. if I could give it six I would.

Lacks a lot of essential stuff to be honest, not a very good Tesco for student area and most of the time the dishes are empty, not much stock.

I do like this store but I live close to the Albany Road Metro so really do notice the premium the Express stores put on most items. However it's great as a backup when the Metro is closed as it does have a good range of basics, albeit clearly oriented to the student market it mostly serves, and a reasonable selection of chilled items, given the size of the store. It's small so can feel crowded, even with social distancing in place and it sometimes does take a while to get served, but as others have mentioned the staff are always patient, polite and friendly ?

Live the staff in there. Some of the nicest people. Obviously not much variety but its everything you'd need
