Highly recommend. They've looked after my Renault modus everytime it's been there. They explain any repairs in a way that's easy to understand. The M.O.T service they provide is excellent and well worth the price they charge.

Always a first class and thorough service from Ross and his team. With 13 cars, 2 minibuses, 1 camper van and 2 motorbikes, they look after it all. If you want a job doing right take it there.

I recommend this polite and experienced local mechanic. I have had work and servicing done on three vehicles. I have received exemplary service and good communication. Additionally, GP Autos supplied and fitted three tyres to date and patched another. Best prices on tyres in the area and open to suggestions and customer preferences.

This review has taken no where near as much of my time as it has trying to resolve my ongoing issue with this garage! I genuinely hope that it will help others be vigilant before using their services! What I had initially thought was a newly opened business, with a genuine owner looking to help and support customers in the best possible way, ensuring value was a priority and ensuring my vehicle was repaired as expected turned out to be an absolute nightmare. I have tried on several occasions to be reasonable with the owner Ross but unfortunately for myself, the guy has my money and unwillingly accepts liability for faults that have occured to my vehicle since he 'repaired' it.I initially took my car to GP Autos in June this year, I was provided with an initial quote of £1500 to carry out the repairs needed. I sourced another quote from another local garage for £925. I went to collect my car from GP Autos, drove it off the forecourt and explained that I had obtained a cheaper quote. Due to the car not being able to move very far, I parked outside the garage whilst arranging a lift-Ross came out and asked me to pop back in to see what he 'could do'. At this point...he agreed that he could complete the work that was required and match the price of £925 after making some 'adjustments'. I expressed my gratitude and was assured that the work would be completed for a total of £925. This was to include a replacement of my clutch and gear box and a full MOT.For me, at this point-as stressful as cars can be, I rely on the use of my vehicle for work and also transporting my little boy around. I cannot deny that I genuinely thought that Ross had gone above and beyond to ensure he could help me....maybe he did?! I guess I will never know.Unfortunately, from the moment I collected my vehicle, whilst still sat on the forecourt of the garage, I was experiencing issues. Issues that were observed by the owner- my car would not start! It took 3 attempts. I was told to 'keep an eye'...I did! I still have the same fault with my car now! I also experienced loss of power which resulted in me cutting out on roundabouts and on 2 occasions almost having a collision. There was also a foul eggy smell coming from the car when using the clutch.i.e hill starts. The car has been back to GP Autos 3 times. They have been unable to repair the fault. I have been extremely reasonable and communicated with the owner. He is now choosing not to respond to myself. He is fully aware that I have been in touch with trading standards(they are not strangers to this garage, Ross informed me of this himself), I am still kindly awaiting his response. Every one makes mistakes, my biggest mistakes have been supporting local businesses who are trying to build a reputation for themselves and also for not sharing my experience sooner! To make matters worse, I have now received an invoice from GP Autos requesting a payment of an additional £300 for the 3 times that my car has had to go back to the garage to repair the faults that occured since my clutch and gear box were replaced!! There will always be an element of denial from any business owner (understandably) there was never any agreement between myself he and hatthe garage that I was going to be charged for any additional repairs for faults that occured whilst my car was in their possession. Stated in a message to myself, from Ross @ GP Autos: In reality, I shouldn't of never have let you take the car when you collected to diagnose the new starting issue' & 'i want to rectify the work'Absolutely disgusting!!! I am at a huge loss in many ways but by sharing this is nothing that others cannot read and hopefully be vigilant before using GP Autos. I certainly would never reccomend! I sincerely hope that this does not happen to anyone else. I often wonder, if I was a 6ft male...would I have had the same experience...that too, I will never know
