Closed around 1600 to cash out early due to staff shortages today. Is overtime not available to accommodate this shortage instead of just closing early. Not the most happy when there are fewer postoffices now and you have to drive further only to learn it's closed.

Having queued for 30 minutes with only one person behind the counter to pay my car tax was told I didn?t have the proper documents even though I explained they were correctI subsequently contacted the relevant gov department to be told I had given the correct paperwork complete waste of time and staff need training to recognise the correct documentation

Staff seem friendly enough but service is terribly slow. 3 staff behind the counter but only one till open, queue almost out the door!

I went to renew my driving licence ,a round trip of 30miles,as I'm approaching 70 ,I had been sent the form and filled most of it out,but was told very rudely that they couldn't help as I wasn't yet 70!Also I was wrongly told that I just had to send it back with my old licence so maybe it was a good thing that that they didn't help.Wont bother going there again

Very few staff serving everytime you go in here - so they try to coax you into using the automatic machine! Well no thanks, it took almost 6 weeks for a parcel containing baby clothes to reach a friend in Cardiff - won't use that service again!! Counter service isn't much better, 4 working days for a returns parcel to reach Swansea sorting office! Will use Johnstown post office in future!

Absolutely terrible customer service, tried to renew my driving licence as could not do it online. I was told could not do it as after 4pm. I don't finish until 5 pm which I explained and was told well I finish at 5.30, I arrived at 5.10 and the process is only meant to take 10mins. Then this changed to I am by myself and can't come out to take the photo when I challenged the after 4 pm rule. There is no mention of there being a certain time you can do renewals anywhere. I live 10 miles from Carmarthen and public transport is not an option. The DVLA said it is easy to renew and this is not my experience. The PO offer this service and there is no alternative so maybe the member of staff should realise my job does not revolve around the PO. I am now left with an out of date licence and relying on other people to take me to work as won't be able to renew until Sat and do not intend breaking the law. Life is stressful enough without having to worry about something that could have been sorted out in 10 mins.

Went in on Saturday 29th Jan , joined an existing queue 3rd in line , all self service closed. One man serving very slowly. Once there were 12 people waiting though WHSmith did a staff member from WHS come on the counter to serve at the Post Office. She was incredibly happy to be there and asked me to reiterate the postcode on my parcel , slightly confused I read out the large capital letters to her. It took nearly 25 minutes to be served to send 2 parcels second class from waiting in the queue, will use any other Po Counter in future other than Carmarthen

After finally locating the post office ( the Internet hasn't undated the new premises) I was told I was too late to use the passport services. She was very abrupt and so unhelpful while the other man said there are here now just do it she told him he was 'being unhelpful' and its after 4 so I'm not doing it. Not a very helpful post office!!

Had to pop in for a form. Before I even reached the front of the queue, a lovely young man with dark hair provided me with what I needed. Excellent customer service!

Abysmal. Long queues. Long wait times. 2 members of staff. One faffing about the other taking their time on the counter. Not enough staff. No wonder Royal Mail are in a mess. Along with their mess of a courier firm Parcelforce.

There was only one Customer service desk open and one staff member manning the self serve on Saturday morning. She disappeared to mop up spillage on the floor. I had to wait for over 30 minutes, no apology for the wait, totally unacceptable.

Very unhelpful staff member today, asked to sort driver's licence card renewal and was told it couldn't be done as they were single staffed.I then asked for advice on any other post office that could and was told none could as it was a bank holiday.A phone call to the post office in Lampeter and I was told that's no problem. 45 mile round trip and the very helpful lady in Lampeter had it sorted swiftly, who was, ironically, by herself in the post office there.Carmarthen post office, get a grip and get your job done instead of bullcrap excuses
