I ordered a new kitchen in February. It was delivered in June (my choice for the long delivery time). A wall unit with glass was missing. Homebase arranged for a 2nd delivery for this unit. On the day I cancelled prior engagements and waited in with my front door open from 7.30am until midnight in bad weather, as I live in the back of the house & did not want to miss the delivery. At 4pm it had not arrived. I phoned the Delivery Team. They said there is "no problem" it can arrive up to midnight! They must have known that the glass had been broken and there would be no delivery that day but they did not admit this. Next day I tried to find out what was happening, then they told me. I then had to chase them for the 3rd delivery. On Friday 11th August Jacob, the ONLY helpful person it seems in Homebase, sorted the delivery for Wednesday 16th August. I am working that day so I immediately told Jacob this. He tried to contact the manufacturer, who had left for the weekend. Today, Monday 14th August Jacob is off. Someone else has fobbed me off saying "you left it too late to notify the manufacturer so they will be delivering on Wednesday". This is the service we now get from Homebase. It never used to be like this. I have had 3 kitchens from them in the past so I know. I have tried negotiating by the Delivery Team email address, more than 6 times this morning. They are ignoring me. I have tried Tweeting about this terrible company and the terrible treatment they are now doling out to their customers, got 1 response fobbing me off with a link to a form which does not have my problem on it, followed by another reply advising me to contact the Delivery Team on its email address!! Ooh! Hadn't thought of that!! (More than 6+ times this morning). Asked them in one email to deliver it to the local Homebase store where I could collect it from. No response from them. I phoned the store to ask the Manageress for help. Busy on a call. Left my details, said it was URGENT. No call back. Phoned the store again 2 hours later, she was about to go on another call could she call me later? No, I said its URGENT and why hasn't she called me BEFORE GOING ON THE NEXT CALL? Oh, she's just gone on a conference call now, so can't speak to you for a few hours (even though I said it was urgent)... This is how we are treated even with an URGENT request. I explained AT LENGTH to the person on the phone all the above. She was talking to someone else while I was talking to her. I said, I hope you are listening! She tried to cut in and shut me up. I said, no you listen. And completed the story. Boring isn't it. HOW BLOODY BORED DOES HOMEBASE THINK I AM? WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING? I GAVE YOU MY MONEY AND TRUST AND YOU HAVE SMACKED ME IN THE FACE. Why don't you all take the day off and come here to be in for this delivery you are refusing to change? THIS IS YOUR FAULT. I EXPECT YOU TO FIX IT. I EXPECT THE VERY LEAST - A POSITIVE HELPFUL RESPONSE TO MY EMAILS OR MY TWEETS. THAT DOES***NOT*** MEAN A LINK TO A FORM. IT MEANS DO YOUR JOB. HELP THE CUSTOMER. I WANT MY UNIT DELIVERED ON A DATE CONVENIENT TO ME AND I DO NOT WANT THE UNIT BROKEN. Too much to ask obvious,y, as you are NO LONGER THE COMPANY YOU WERE. DISGUSTED. WILL NEVER BUY A KITCHEN FROM YOU AGAIN. Still waiting for that phone call...

Fairly good range and quite well merchandised. Availability in certain areas was shocking and housekeeping standards need attention. Pricing was poor, many items unpriced.Checkout service on the day was very pleasant.

Went for cable ties struggled to finger them. Staff member I asked couldn't be bothered to show me then found then 6 and 8 pounds a packet went to wikes got 50 assorted in packet for 1. 50 have always showed at homebase but it seems to be going to the dogs lots of shelves barely stocked. Looks like it's closing.

Went to pick up paint pads that were showing in stock online, but couldn't find them on the shelf. Staff member stated they were discontinued but would check the warehouse for any residual stock. Unfortunately there were none in store, but even though I left empty handed the staff were very helpful.
