I needed to buy cat litter, and I normally have my son with me to carry it for me, as I'm disabled and I struggle. Today I didn't have my son, but the lovely man on the till helped me to find the brand I needed, took it to the till and put it in my car for me. He was ever so kind and I felt like it was no trouble at all. Thank you to the assistant for his kindness.

Purchased a dog coat recently at a cost of £30 . My dog wore it for 20mins & it fell apart. Literally all the seams just unstitched. I could not find my receipt but had proof of purchase on my banking . I returned it to store . A very abrupt lady told me nothing could be done without a receipt, my banking was not proof of purchase & just kept referring to new policy that was taped on the customer service desk. I asked if they could trace my purchase as i had exact date & time on my banking app. Was told NO . I explained I could not afford £30 for goods that were obviously not fit for purpose & I believed as I had faulty goods I can return them within 30 days. No customer care shown, no apology. I asked could I speak to head office or higher management from the store. I was told NO, you have to online chat . ( Where's good customer service gone !) . Came home, did very frustrating online chat twice as communications were " interrupted " . This lady told me as I had given my VIP card my purchase could be traced from that . ( Why didn't store mention this !). Go back to store , told NO they can't trace it from that & I shouldn't have been told that by online customer service!! You need to have a policy that you work together on . Can you or can't you ??!!! Anyway I eventually managed to find my receipt & returned to store again where a nicer member of staff eventually gave me a refund on my sub standard goods!! I shall now take my custom for x 2 dogs to another place where I'll hopefully feel a valued customer. Would have been one star but I've given two for the Tuesday evening member of staff who was more accommodating than than others !

My daughter bought a fish tank from the Cwmbran store, got it home and it had a cracked panel. Took it back to Bryn Mawr store the next day as nearer, with receipt, was refused a refund as " it's not a product they stock" . I asked if i could exchange for a more expensive tank and pay the extra, still refused.Told me I had to return to Cwmbran store, there was nothing they could do and Cwmbran store were not answering the phone to authorise a refund - bearing in mind I have shown the " manager" my receipt twice at this point!Drove to Cwmbran store who were more than happy to help, told me the lady in the Bryn Mawr store was talking rubbish and I could have had my money back there as I had the receipt!Cwmbran store saved the day, a lady helped me choose a different tank, and the guy on the till even took 10% off a new, more expensive fish tank to make up for the petrol and time I wasted.Bryn Mawr store- customer service is dreadful, attitude stinks and you need training on how to actually run a store !!
