Myself and my mum went to the store today, with a problem that neither the Cwmbran store or Customer Services were able to help with. A young man named Rhys was, so very patient and friendly, and spent a very long time with us. He was able to solve our query and I would just like to say a very big thank you.

Staff were very helpful and they really know their stuff about mobiles. He helped me choose the Google Pixel 7 mobile. I was looking for a mobile with a good camera as my old one had got very slow. This uses Android, which I know well. It's £15 a month cheaper than a similar Apple iPhone, and he set it up and transferred all my apps across to the new mobile. Overall, very good service.

For the staff at o2 Shop...Bought a G11 on Sunday (cash not card transaction) and turned out to be an unwanted gift. Came back in today around 12:30 - 01:00pm for refund and the store had no cash on site so couldn't refund me £99.99.Given I have a 14 mile round trip to O2 shop and back from where I am, could you kindly confirm that you will have the refund of £99.99 there tomorrow, Tues, April 4th, 2023 after 02:00 pm please as I dont want to waste more money to be told O2 don't have any.Thank youFollow up to the above.(which will be on trust pilot within 2 hours, facebook and YouTube Imminent)Spoke to Newport store who advised they don't have cash on the premises and a £50 float and advised i try another store to return to. Phoned Cardiff o2 shop and not wanting to go on all the way there for nothing I phoned first, and girl said yes, we can do that if you bring the phone down with receipt.Got on the train, went to Cardiff and o2 shop. Gave phone back with receipt and guy says "we don't do cash refund?" I said I've spoken to the girl before coming down here and she said you can." He said "well shes misinformed you." So I said "it's not your or her decision to make, the law states I have 14 days to return for any reason, and further to that the consumer rights act, a passed legislation, requires you to issue refund to the total amount paid in the same manner as purchase, ie, cash"Guy shrugged "Can't give you what we haven't got?'" I again tried to emphasise this not open to debate or my opinion Vs yours, it's the law! His response? "Go.and get the law then"My advice, stay away from O2 as they, as I found out the hard way, literally break the law not to give you a refund 3 days after purchaseUtterly deplorable practise by dismissive and arrogant staffAs for the response below, send all the links you want and none will supersede the law, no matter what you put in your terms. You get a letter soon notifying you of civil claim against you and Cardiff for failure to observe current law that says you MUST give a refund within 14 days "Cooling Off period" and it MUST be by the same method customer paid with. Your response of not having £99.99 on the premises is incompetent. It's neither shops employee's right to decide to ignore mine as a consumer. Don't know who you think you shrugging and telling me I won't be getting my money back when the law is clear I no must. Not just O2 the brand, but the employees at Cardiff and newport will be reported for breach of the consumer rights act and trading standards.Ps your head office in Slough, a manager up there I spoke with is not happy. He's confirmed I absolutely should have got refunded in cash, so he'll be looking into this Tuesday
