Absolutely awful customer service been going to shotton branch with my dad for years .He kept asking if I could go third party on his book and was told no.I contacted nationwide office and was sent a form to fill out to be told I could which I had an official letter so was fine . The guy in there all u get is POA which is wrong. The staff are really arrogant and rude .If it was my money I would change banks but my dad's 97 and they were no help even though he kept asking himself.

Lady at the bank has told me I can't pay money over the counter anymore.I have to put money in using the cash machine outside where you could get mugged.I dont think nationwide have thought this through very professionally.

Nothing to do with the staff who are always fantastic, but where?s the customer service when it?s shut on a Saturday?!? People do work in the week ?

Always helpful and pleasant, quite often have to queue but that is obviously not the fault of the staff.

I dread going in to this branch. They Excel at being unhelpful and making you feel your like you're a pain for them. I've never had a good experience in branch at shotton - ever! I would suggest if the staff don't want to be there to help, they should look for work in a different profession. Not necessarily the reason for this review but typical was today's experience. On getting to the door, the 'bouncer' stopped and directed me to the cash machine to pay in. I appreciate they're protecting their staff in these times but with that in mind, why would they make a customer use an un-sanitised cash machine when the branch is empty? On top of that, they still have to handle the cheque anyway.. makes no sense. The neighbouring banks appeared to be letting people in while enforcing social distancing. Hey nationwide, top tip time - refresh this branch's customer service training.

Why..... The shortened hours.... NHS and the poor shop assistants have worked without reducing their services.... A notice on the door when you actually get there is no use to anyone... When you've travelled down through the busy traffic

Great! They've always been great with me, although their 'no cheque' with the cashier policy is annoying. Please don't complain when I want to cash a cheque!

Emma must be the most unhelpful and unpleasant person I?ve ever spoken to in a bank and when I complained to the manager she also was really unhelpful who said she never heard that before from anyone I wouldn?t recommend going in this branch!!1 star isn?t low enough

I have just been to the so called bank because I have missed placed my bank card go to see if I can take cash out and the employee call Jayne was very unhelpful had me sing a signature on paper then to tell me she can't give me my money due to not having a signature online well sadly enough not every body uses online so then she still didn't give me money because i didnt have my card with a signature..... If I had my card would go cash point shock horrible lady wasn't passed about the customer
