Lovely staff, very kind & helpful. No hard selling. Lots of explanation of tests & why. Lots of checking that I was ok & comfortable. A lot of time spent helping me choose frames & the most appropriate lenses. Very happy with my visit.

The staff were very thorough and gentle, only, I was a bit disappointed that I didn't wear a mask. A male staff who measure me for my glasses, breath wasn't pleasant. Other than that I would have scored 10 out of 10.

I came here about 5 years ago now and have never gone, or wanted to go anywhere else. Staff are very lovely, professional, and friendly. Thorough eye tests, and great range of glasses to pick from. I tried out contacts for the first time too, and they offer great direct debit plans for those. Highly recommended!

Waiting on phone for 30 min to speak to optician , the answer phone is ancient and keeps making clicking noises then you get a repeat answer listened to this repeat 4 times I quote do you want to listen in Welsh, then what department press for optician then after couple of min , do you want to listen to message in Welsh omg how many times !!!! Don?t even try to ring just go there

Always behind schedule whether they are busy or not... I watched three of the staff huddled in the corner gossiping while I am left waiting well past my appointment time, the shop is virtually empty!About 20minutes past my appointment time, another gentleman arrived for the next appointment whom they promptly saw before me!Very poor and unprofessional, I shan't return.

Really disappointing - I transferred to this branch having had really good customer service with the Farnham branch.
The Swansea branch is struggling to retain an optician so it's difficult to get appointments (typically a one month wait). The optician I saw was very friendly but I didn't feel that she got my prescription right when carrying out my eye test (as my new contact lenses made me feel ill when wearing them) and this was confirmed when I had another eye test with a different optician.
On top of this the store staff are generally rude and seem uninterested in customers. When choosing new glasses I felt rushed and have generally been messed around with both my glasses and contact lenses prescriptions.
Because boots only sends out a letter when your prescription has expired (and not say, a month before) boots was then unable to give me desperately needed contact lenses. I had to wait a month for appointment, then trial new lenses and then could not get these lenses confirmed or trial a different strength until I had seen an optician again (which I couldn't do any time soon because they have no staff). Ultimately this resulted in me having to come in to store many, many times and not receiving my contact lenses for 3 months despite being billed for them (store staff were both unable and unwilling to help with this and I have written off the money at this point because the idea of having to deal with the store again is just too much).
When I went to my new opticians and I explained the above, she actually snorted and said that she heard extremely similar stories all the time from them. Avoid.
