Customer service needs updating

The website advised to try the experience of the Meta Quest 3; if I was going to buy one for half a grand, I'd like to try it.The "experience" was an attaches, well worn headset (no controllers) and a set video of games you can play. Considering I wanted it for AR, not VR, this was inadequate.But the little AR it showed before the afternoon started convinced me to take a chance.

A well stocked store with friendly staff.

Visited the store today to get some information on airfryers and hoped to purchase one, however the one I wanted was only available online and therefore would need to be ordered.What should have been a very basic customer service interaction for the currys staff however seemed to be a very complex and difficult query to resolve.After speaking with a representative within the air fryer department, once he realised that we would not be purchasing in store with him, he had no interest or time to speak with us and answers to questions become very short or just I don't know.Following the underwhelming service, on the way out we visited 2 ladies on the tills to clarify if we purchased and item with currys online and there was an issue while under warranty, would they be able to support us in store? After many confused looks between each other, they advised that if we spoke to customer service in the shop they would be able to tell us.So we proceeded to queue for customer service to be seen by a young gentleman, to whom we asked the same question. Who advised that it should be fine but he wasn't sure as it would depend on the product. My mother then asked could he then find out, she was advised to not speak to like that as he is trying to help us. He then proceeded to ignore my mother and only speak to me, he said he would need the product details to find out and that I would need to look it up on the website to show him, and while we looked he sighed as if we were taking too much of his time.Eventually, after us having to provide him with information held on your public website, he said that they would be able to support us in store if there was ever an issue.Upon leaving the store my mother burst into tears after being belittled and dismissed by a member of customer service staff who's principal role is to support us as customers. Despite grey hair my mother is an intelligent and eloquent person who was asking a simple question which should be basic information to all staff, however the sheer lack of customer service, lack of ownership and overall dismissive and entitled attitude of 4 members of staff within your store is simply astonishing. Only further exasperated by the disappointment by the ageist discrimination she experienced by the staff on customer service, she was belittled and made to feel like something on the bottom of his shoe and as if she knew nothing.As a large organisation I'm sure your aware that age is a protected characteristic under the discrimination act and that fact that your staff find it acceptable to deal with customers in this abrasive and abrupt manner simply because of the colour of their hair and assumptions which they make is beyond belief.I just hope that yourselves or your staff are never to experience such awful service as this, as this is truly dented my mother's confidence through no fault of her own. What i do hope is that you take this message on board and ensure your staff treat all customers fairly, with empathy and patience. Especially when dealt with such simple queries. It's a shame that there isn't a 0 star option as 1 seems far too generous.

I had low expectations going here, based on my experience at a different Currys. Madi blew them away. She was incredibly helpful, not pushy and helped us to see other kitchen appliance brands that we actually now prefer. We would definitely go there again.

unhelpful incompetent staff in the repairs department. will not use them again. I bought a 75 inch tv off them that failed out of warrenty. arranged with them the repair and had to get a van to drop it to them the next day as we agreed, just to be told that they wont repair it as its not on their list of tvs they can repair. The guy i was dealing with was unhelpful and just gave different excuses as to their mistake

Staff should know more. Sold me a chrome book bit Microsoft software that wouldn't run. Had a refund but still staff should be trained to at least some standard

On arrival there was no sign of any staff. Waited around for a while and then three appeared at the same time!
