Having popped in last night for a drink to celebrate a wedding dress fitting we ended up leaving and cancelling our order.We asked the server if he would like us to move to the bar as we wanted drinks and some little bits to share. His reply was no to stay where we were it was a nice atmosphere and joked about staying away from the locals. We giggled and stayed put.He came 10 minutes later with our drinks order and then came back for our food order. We said we wanted chips and onion rings to share an we would order more in a little bit. He went off to put our order in.The kitchen is situated right by where they had seated us behind a makeshift wall. We could hear word for word their conversations.He wasn?t quiet - I?m not even wasting paper on this one, he shouted as he walked around into the kitchen.He then proceeded to tell them how he tried to convince us to order more and talking crap about us as if we could not hear him.After shouting to them - you know we can hear you, right?! One of the others then said oh I think you?ve offended them. Then he starts laughing and joking about us.We went in with high hopes, it looked beautiful in there and all started out great.Cancelled our order and left.

Went back for an evening meal yesterday as we had not been there for more than six months. The staff were friendly and helpful and as on past visits the food was excellent.Another excellent lunch. Great food and friendly staff. Excellent value and service

Food only:Food was great.Good option.Good price.Service was mostly great, excluding one tall older lady (assume she is manager or Ower judging by her demeanour), found her to be short and sassy with her response when asked if the sauce on a dish could be altered due to the wifey being pregnant! She had an air of obnoxiousness around her on another occasion in the evening.I would go again, but would be better prepared to call the above out on her table manner.

Friendly and helpful staff. Food was lovely but only warm, not hot. Two members in my group requested taragon sauce instead of the garlic butter on the seabass yet still got charged extra for it, which we didn't notice until we were home. (Also, beware the 2 course menu offer, although it is stated on the menu, is only for a 1st and main course and not the main and dessert course. )

Visited for lunch. Food good and reasonably priced. Waitresses attentive. Service a little slow and the dining room cool.All in all a good visit and we will return.

We stopped here for lunch. Lovely cosy pub with lots character. Great food friendly staff & locals. Super dog friendly, our greyhounds were treated with cushions & a blanket.

We called in to meet an old friend. Had a bar snack, a drink and coffee. Service was excellent, food was good, I really liked the surroundings, the place had a good vibe. I didn't stay in a room so I can't comment on the accommodation.

An amazing stay, Fabulous food, .. outstanding! Service wonderful, staff so so so helpful! ...exemplary in every way! We stayed taking our dog, who was also served a sausage at breakfast, if he could write he would say thank you! Defo stay there again in a heartbeat!

Nice location, staff were fab, Sunday lunch was ok. The decor was a bit odd, very random stuff everywhere and in need of refurb. No atmosphere. Won't be returning unfortunately.

If your looking to impress your new missus, take here here when the sun is shining. When sat outside, you would swear you were in the south of France. Food isn't bad either. If you want to talk to the locals, get clued up on John Deree farming equipment and crop rotation.

We went for lunch and both had lamb. Very good food. The meat was well cooked, the jus was very tasty and the vegetables were crisp and perfectly cooked. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant. The staff were friendly and efficient.
