I am a customer originally from the Midlands bank ....so I've been with them for + - 50 years. I live on the continent and was in the UK for a short visit. I tried to get my problem sorted at the Coventry high street bank and the first time I was sent away due to not enough staff, they told me to come back in the afternoon which we did. But they were not flexible enough to help me and hugely busy in such a small building....HSBC This branch needs to be much bigger to cope with demand. So we went to Leamington and although at first it seemed difficult due to guide lines set out by the bank itself .... after I asked for the manager and explained that we were returning to the continent the next day ....he and his team took the time to get everything sorted and after 1 1/2 hours it was done.Many thanks to Mr Wootten and his team...I can highly recommend this branch for customer service.Thank you all very much.

I remember when banking put the customer the branch is just full of machines that are automated and one member of staff so your left queueing for ages just to find out about something or you can ring a super expensive number and he thought an automated machine was better than a cashier they don't accept coins and they don't give out change or because you want to save a few pennies on hiring staff forcing people to use websites and apps instead of their local friendly bank

Went into branch previously to open an account, to be told need to make an appointment. Looked up branch, called - actually call centre not branch - to be told we can't make any appointments you need to go to the branch when I explained and asked to be connected to branch he gave me the number I had called which got thru to him!!!! Is there any customer service within HSBC? Reviews seem to agree - NO!

I have been banking with HSBC for many years and I would recommend them. I am a Premier customer and bank both business and personal with HSBC. I do not want to bank online, I do not trust it and sooner or later I am sure to be proved right, judging by the figures.Generally speaking I have no complaints with HSBC at all, apart from the push to get everyone to do it online, which does not suit me.Mark, Jenny, (the other one) and Peter are all good

Appalling service by staff. Advised online to go into branch to setup a joint account, no appointment needed. Turn up at branch, staff member on seat says appointment needed, tell him told online no appointment required so he says please take a seat and he'll go speak to manager. Person returns and says would have to do next week. No apology, would have expected manager to have come out at least east. Only thing they were willing to process was a complaint, sorry I'll do that online. To say the least it's not a full service branch and we'll be looking to do business with another bank.

Despite a lot of the previous comments I got outstanding customer support today in the Leamington branch office. My situation was a bit complicated, coming back from abroad and having to reset a lot of my information, mobile security etc and also do a significant transfer for a car. Peter and the rest of the team have been super helpful and extremely friendly, even doing suggestions on the best way to do the transfer (split on 2 days without me coming back) to avoid having to pay fees. Atrocious customer service from their Premier Accounts side. They cannot do as asked and screw up the simplest of tasks. What little contact I have had has had poor results. This bank couldn't care less about its UK customer base and I hear that they are more interested in the Asian and Indian market now ? pity they cannot get one customer base right.

First day: same documents as some else- not good for. For that person was ok.Second day: 16:45 - too late to open an account. Asked when to come - in another day with 30 min at least closing( that one I understood - was too late)Third day: 16:20 - too late: at least 60 min before closingConclusion: do not trust what they say - if you don't take an entire day free to go at the bank, don't waste your time!Edit: went here on saturday, totally different experience. A lady, Naomi, helped me this time. Was flawless: fast & nice.
