Met a friend here for dinner rather than eat at hotel we were staying at.Great looking place The Boat,Ideal Location.Great interior and layout very inviting.Service was very very slow when showed to our table.We then waited 15minutes only to have to ask if it was table service or order at bar..was then told it was Table...

We had not booked, but decided last moment to have lunch at The Boat. They happily found us a very nice table not far from a window and near a fire. Service was excellent with no waiting but not being bothered by the staff either. Food was of very could standard and value. I had the roast cod with brown crab and barley...

Service was excellent and food allergies were noted and catered for brilliantly.Food was good quality and served quickly.However, the lunchtime menu was limited and overpriced £33 (plus 10% service charge) for 2 burger and chips no drinks.Might have overlooked the price if I hadn't been so cold I had to eat with my coat...
