I am Mr S S haji I have an account more than 22 yrs last week I was in morocco and my card block for nothing and I call bank but they didn't open my account ?? I was homeless two weeks in morocco ?? Alhamdulillah I come back to Birmingham UK

Worst bank with customer service that has a ?computer says no? attitude. Have an easy access savings account. Asking for a simple bank statement over 9 days into the month and they are so incompetent that they still haven?t generated last months statement. They say it can take 2 weeks!!! They can only send a transaction list and that?s only by post? it?s 2023, why can?t they just generate a digital statement in 24 hours like other banks! Spoke to another bank and apparently they are known to be a laughing stock amongst other banks

Came back to check my Google contributions to find Google had removed my in-depth review of Al Rayan Bank. Not sure why as I explained in detail the reasons, all relating to the bank. So, long story short this time - AVOID THIS BANK! At least until they have sorted their mobile banking and outdated means of communication, mostly highlighted by the other negative reviews on here. I will keep checking now and then to make sure this review doesn't disappear because they caused me so much hassle that, as I guide, I will continually endeavour to inform others as much as possible especially after terrible experience.

Isn't it a bit odd that prominent positions in an Islamic bank are held by disbelievers? Half the board isn't Muslim.On top of that, they've shut down all their branches, and both the online and telephone banking are dysfunctional. The only way to get anything done is via mail to the head office.

I opened an account with them in October 2021. Made the initial deposit and incredibly happy with my savers account. I've had relevant letters come to me when needed along with other appropriate communications. Not sure why there's a lot of negative reviews about communication and funny how none of them mention the reasons why they're having to call? Perhaps it's to do with the economic crisis ATM, especially because a lot of banks like these have stopped offering mortgages due to the crisis.Better than some of the bigger banks in my opinion.

Applied to open a savings account online was told the bank will call back. It's been 3 weeks and no call. In fact I have called 4 times already and waited an hour each time only to give up as why on earth would it take so long everytime!??Useless company run by cowboys who lack customer service and management skills and don't get me started on their so called 'Islamic mortgage'! They have just changed the name 'Interest' to 'Rent' but charge excessive rates. Also this so called halal mortgage is only for the middle class and your salary needs to be in excess of £60k to get a mortgage of £150k! Absolutely pathetic!

SO SO angry that I didn't read reviews before opening an account with them. THAT was an unbeleivably terrible and hard process in itself. Contacted them 11 days ago, by recorded, signed for letter (You can't email them) and I am STILL waiting for an answer. 48 hours ago got a call saying someone would call "in 48 hours" to give me an answer. Still waiting. DO NOT bank with these people. BLME are a great bank by contrast.

Wallah I am very surprised with the amount of complaints and negative reviews but actually do these people really care ?!Worst Bank on this planet, get some useful developers to sort your online/Digital banking for god sake and get more staff to answer the calls.Being calling for few days and on call for hours and hours but guess what ?! ...... you are 100% right ! NO ANSWER..!I`ve also sent a complaint and still no reply.Avoid at all cost and its time for me also to pack up my bags ...

Absolutely terrible service. First of all, you are put on hold for almost 2 hours and then they've had my driving license for 2 months now and each time I call to ask, they tell me they've asked their mail room to send it and cant do anything more!! Really appalled and disgusted at the services of this supposed 'Islamic' bank.

Worst online - oh sorry there isn't even online banking - worst "digital" /mobile banking service I have ever seen. Don't tell me that's because of security, all the other banks ensure top level security, yet accessing one's account with them is not an uphill struggle like yours. I've commented before and I do it again, get a new software developer.
