Came in today and saw a jacket I liked however it didn?t have a price on it. The woman who worked there insisted she remembered the price and promised that it was £10. We?ll just got home and found the tag hidden inside a pocket and it was £6 :( very upsetting she would lie like that

When you live in Cradley Heath, the charity shops of Harborne feel kind of upmarket. Cradley Heath is all second hand Primark, Harborne is all rarely worn Marks and Spencer. This is a well presented and neat little shop that can turn up to occasional treasure. There's rarely much to get overly excited over, though I'm always impressed by the quality and condition of some of the wedding dresses. I saw two there on my last visit that were really pretty and priced up at £90.00. Budget conscious brideswould be well advised to pay this place a visit!

Another of the amazing array of Charity shops on the Harborne high street - I think there must be a least 7 or 8 in total, I've never really counted, but there are enough of them to make it worth your while spending a whole morning or afternoon in B17 for a good old mooch. This particular one has always seemed to be lucky for me in terms of books. I've got some great stuff in here over the years, both fiction and academic. Whilst the Oxfam bookshop across the street is probably your best bet for books, don't overlook this place. Other than books this is your standard charity shop stuff, but there does seem to be a lot more womens clothes in this place than anything else.

Based at the bottom end of the High Street near Iceland, this is a very well kept charity shop that sells a good handbag. It also does a good range of bric-a-brac and glassware and often seems to have rather snazzy frocks - not neccesarily to my style as well the odd wedding dress. Prices are a little more expensive than some of the lesser known charities so probably comparable with Oxfam say.
