“Been coming here for nearly 10 years now, and I’ve got to say an amazing shop it is. Very nice workers there, always having a laugh which is nice as most shops seem a bit awkward to go to but you feel right at home here. Would highly recommend for any locals as they have never let me down!”

“Love the store. I'm leaving the area soon and chatting with the staff, whether they love me or hate me, really got me through the pandemic. The locals are fighting over store ownership, it's that good. I'm working towards running a city center hotel, best of luck on your futures.”

“Was having a bad day and just wanted a bottle of fanta. Couldn’t find the fanta, but then this lovely sales assistant called Ana helped me find the fanta. Thank you Ana for helping me find the fanta, she’s a great asset to this store!”

“A small place, but with a surprisingly wide range of quality products. Pricier than a large supermarket, but not unreasonably so. A great shop to have just around the corner. ”

“Friendly staff, with well stocked shelves and good selection.Store is always clean and staff always friendly, pointing out offers if I've bought something in multiples or meal deal to save me money. They always pack my bag for me and put it on the back of my wheelchair for me.The entrance and aisles are easily accessible and I never feel like I can't get anything myself. Some stores have boxes of stock in the way and I can't get into some areas, the newsagent further down is an example of this, but this Tesco's is very well run.Lots of offers for club card holders too so it's not more expensive than visiting a bigger store, where the prices are usually cheaper.Highly recommended”

“I would give them five as they're friendly enough here but there's a recurring situation I find where their delivery van has parked on dale street it somehow interferes with the traffic lights to get back onto Bristol road and it means they never turn green. It somehow interferes with the censors and the council apparently won't do anything about that even though lots of people are effectively trapped for a significant period”

“I love the fact that this spar is open 24/7 and every staff member has always been very welcoming and helpful. However, Laura is always the one person who makes my day and brings a smile to my face whenever she is on shift. She’s always laughing and is just so friendly!”

“This Tesco express is an ideal shop to go if your local and in a rush. It's on the Hagely dual carriage way, the local bus route from the city and into the city, it's not far from Bear wood shopping centre where you will find lots of charity shops. In my opinion The Tesco Express is small but ideal for the basics. Bread, milk and essential items for the home. Individuals who have disabilities can get easy access and you can also park your car or bike.”

“I love this place, I can get much of what I need here, at reasonable prices, exactly what a good local supermarket should be like. Good selection of products, friendly and attentive staff. This place and Zebs next door complement each other nicely.”

“Best local shop from the big brand name supermarkets I have ever visited and I will explain why.Local shops are not something the big supermarkets do well. They tend to follow an aloof structure that works well when simply piling high and selling cheap but that then lacks the human interaction and warmth when you just want to pick up a little shop. This Co-Op has the nicest and most professional staff I have come across in a long while. First thing I notice is that they have a wide diversity of people working there and that is always nice to see. Then there is the knowledge of the staff. They know their stuff. On occasion they do come acropper such as when you present an unknown voucher or coupon. Some might say its a negative but whenever someone isn't sure they chase it up and get the information you need. No one knows everything and its refreshing when people put their hand up and admit it. And its even better when they then take the time to get you the right answer and fix anything that went wrong. The prices in the store are pretty good too given that its a local and such shops tend to have higher prices.I really like the ample parking spaces at the front and down the side as you can easily get of the Hagley Road without issue. And then it easy to rejoin given the double width exit.I also appreciate the neighbouring shops, from the vets to the pub, which make it a more productive visit.I highly recommend this branch of the Co-Op.”

“Competitively priced family business, this Spar has been run by the same family in the village for decades. There isn't a cash back facility here, but a cash point machine is conveniently place outside, but it charges £1.99. Nearest shop for cash back is opposite which charges a nominal free, but its free at the Post Office, and Cooperative opposite the Abbey gatehouse. Parking on street is usually available.”

“I do like going to this local shop as part of my sessions in college and they have good items which are not as expensive. I bought a milkshake which tastes good, pringles and airwaves recently and payment transactions went ok, even though it is worth 2 3 tries but it went through in the end. If you're looking for snacks or groceries, why not come here.”
