“again this shop is inside swan shopping centre and has a good aray of items of costume jewellery hair accessories and more. Staff are friendly but the shop is cramped inside so wheelchair access can be difficult but I am sure you would have space to get around. again this shop is undercover and near one of the many entrances”

“Must admit I completely forgot about this place, with all the hype of primark over the years, it took the limelight off of these guys!!We went to Matalan, Scunthorpe 05th Aug '23, to look at suits for my lad (mainly as Primark doesn't have any).I was extremely impressed with their offering & I could have easily purchased about 6 for myself. but we weren't there for me!! instead I did see a nice pair of trousers; however, somehow I managed to pick up the complete wrong size - all my own doing - the hanger advised correctly, the label on the side advised correctly and the inside label advised correctly, so I just had a moment of madness.This meant I had to return the wrong size trousers back at my local Birmingham store in Stetchford.Their offering of suits was nowhere near as good nor impressive and they didn't have the same trousers I'd purchased from Scunthorpe however I was able to find a very nice pair of blue on blue chequered trousers and a lovely blue shirt to match. All in all I had to pay £15 extra, and they didn't argue about the return (I did have the receipt)In terms of both stores that we went to, they were both extremely clean with fantastic lighting, more than enough room for everyone to walk around, browse & shopping. There were physical stores assistance, all of which were polite and helpful.Both stores offer very wide ranges of Women's, Children, Babies, Toddlers, Teens & Mens clothing, footwear, accessories and items for around the home.Whilst the men's section in Birmingham could have been a little bigger for more offerings, this is not a main store but still a very good size and in my opinion, the men's section is fantastic, as most "other" stores do not have much to offer for men at all.The Scunthorpe store is massive, hence the wider offering, but both are impressive, with Matalan items being priced amazing for such great quality, far more superior to that of Primarks!! Overall I'd give both stores 8 out of 10I definitely recommend either store to everyone and I can't in my opinion, stress & recommend enough, how much better Matalan are over Primark, for store cleanliness and tidiness, lighting, stores assistance around & looking happier!”
