Avoid this place at all costs. I booked a wheel alignment through National Tyres, didnt realise Halfords own that company. I didnt read the reviews here before picking this autocentre (its the closest one for me). I arrived a few mins before my allotted time slot (13:30). I asked the receptionist how long it would take and they said 2 hours (normally takes 45-60 mins according to Halfords website), and she would call me when the car was ready.I got a call 30 mins before it was due to be ready, I was told there was a problem at the garage, and the work has been delayed by an hour. I then got a call an hour later to tell me the car has only just gone on the ramp, and would be ready by 17:00.I then got another call at 16:30 to say they havnt been able to carry out the wheel alignment as my tie rod end is damaged, along with my suspension. I could leave the car with them to have the extra work done, or take the car back and receive a refund. I said I will head down and decide on the way. Within 5 mins of the call ending, I got a text and email to say the appointment was cancelled. Once I arrived, the receptionist handed over my keys, and told the refund had gone through. None of the mechanics came to talk about the damage they had "found", no photos or paperwork.There is no damage to my tie rod end, or suspension, as I had a full service 2 weeks ago, the suspension was checked there. The car has only done 24k miles. I have checked my wheels, there is no play in them, which is the symptom of a worn/damaged tie rod end. Suspension looks fine too.I think they were overbooked/understaffed, didnt have time to work my car, and then tried to fleece me for extra work which didnt need to be done. Being too busy is one thing, but outright lying about the condition of my car, is unacceptable!

Last year, I gave this a five star for the outstanding service and professionalism, there was.However, this year the quality and professionalism has gone down. My appointment was at 8:30 to drop off my car. No one called me to give me updates, so I had to call the garage twice. On the second call, they told me they started work on my car which was at 3 o?clock. I was told the car would be ready at 4 o?clock. However, I didn?t leave the garage till 16:45. There was no discussion about the MOT for parts and repairs.I would recommend others to try another Halfords auto Centre to Avoid time wasting and unresolved issues.

Took my freshly refurbished alloys to get tires fitted here. They damaged one alloy, and I am still waiting for them to pay for the repair. I wouldn't advise anyone to go here.

If you choose to ignore the reviews and you find yourself here. Do yourself a favour and evidence the condition of your vehicle before and after they?ve touched it. Conveniently no cameras on site when it comes to proving their innocence. How this establishment carries the name of such a well known brand is bewildering. Think twice folks.

Never ever going back there. I wouldn't of anyway but my warranty (Auto protect) booked me in at halfords.Took a perfectly running car with no problems apart from alittle fluid leak to be checked out. Was booked in for 8.30am and told I should get the car back by 2pm. Called them before I made my way to pickup the car but they said it won't be ready till 5pm. Got there at 5pm and it was still on the ramp so waited another half hour till they gave me my keys. Driving it away and I hear a loud squealing noise coming from the right side of my car when turning my steering wheel to the left. I went back to them and they said they don't know nothing of it. My car has all of a sudden has squealing sound when I'm turning my wheel. Took it to a proper garage and they've checked it and said to me that my suspension has been damaged and the also told me halfords are know for not looking after customers cars. A simple fluid leak has now got me spending another 6 to £700 on fixing a problem which wasn't there when I gave them my car. Only if they just told me the truth on what happened to my car at there garage when it was there. Now I'm having to do school runs for the next few days with a taxi because of this careless autocentre. They've cost me alot of money and I regret going there.

Writing as a Emac ( extended warranty) customer, had to pick a Halford so picked Perry Barr as nearest. When booking get a choice of 8.30 or 11.30 to drop car for a minor service.I dropped car at 11 phoned at 4 was told will be ready 5. 30. Got their 5 my had not even been moved. The people that dropped their car at 8.30 waiting for their car (hope they write their experience). They took my car inside at 5.25 and finished it at 6.15. While also closing, so if I wasn't their would they have serviced, would they have waited for me to get their to collect car?. What's the point of a time. They leave the service till end of the day. Waisted the day thinking it would be done in a couple of hours.All that was done was an oil change they were also closing for the day. my local garage checks all my car and gives me alot more and am sure charges alot less.Never get any paperwork will have to contact the warrenty provider to see what they actually did. Hopefully next service will be able to use an independent garage.Just got a sorry for the delay.TO ALL EMAC CUTOMERSIF YOU DO TAKE CAR HERE DON'T WAIT FOR PHONE CALL. GO BEFORE EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO WAIT.

Had a major service, missed certain things which clearly had been missed and put water in my screenwash bottle which has now froze!! Shocking after you pay so much, wont use halfords again!!

Dropped off car for front wheel balancing at pre-booked slot at 1.30Rude staff at reception.I had to call at 5.15pm to find out if my car was ready.Was told the 2 x front shock absorbers needed replacing ASAP. Got a quote for 2 x new shock absorbers.Called the day after to book car in but spoke to an extremely rude person who was trying to say their own quote was wrong & trying to get more money out of me.Went to another garage who told me I didn't need new shock absorbers. The problem was the wheel balancing was the issue 10g on one side & 80 on the other side, yes 80!This garage is just trying to rip people off. Avoid.

I dropped my vehicle off this morning for 4 tyres replacements. Upon collecting the vehicle, I discovered that one wheel nut was missing. When I raised this issue with the branch manager, he claimed that the wheel nut was already missing when I dropped off the vehicle and showed me a few pictures taken after the work was completed. I pointed out that these pictures were taken after the work, not before. He insisted he couldn't do anything about it.I immediately lodged a complaint with customer service and asked if it was safe to drive the vehicle with the missing wheel nut. The customer service representative contacted the branch but echoed the same story, insisting the nut was missing before the work began. Unfortunately, I had no choice but to leave the auto center with the missing wheel nut.This experience has been incredibly disappointing, and it reflects poorly on a reputed brand like Halfords. I strongly recommend avoiding this branch at all costs.

Very bad customer sevive booked in over the phone to have an vehicle check, on the day they dont have anything on system, make sure you book online , dont book over the phone

Brought car here instead of going to the main dealer for service. Very disappointed unfriendly staff on reception and quite rude at times. When car picked up steering wheel dirty with oil stains. Checked coolant level once home and was not topped up from the minimum level. Would have expected better service will not use again.

I was greeted by a very friendly lady. Service was carried out by another friendly person. Very smooth and straightforward. I was listened to. I'll come back in the future. Highly recommend this place.
