Went to see the much hyped movie of the year today - Dune 2 at Star City Nechells Birmingham. The movie was awesome, breath taking phenomenon and in my view will be the Star Wars for this generation for sure. Looking forward to Dune 3. Will not be going to Star City again. The heating was off and it was a particularly freezing day. Absolutely froze while watching the movie.

Went to see the 18.15 showing of "One Love" arrived at 17.50pm. Requested tickets and paid for recliners in gold class. Waited in a long queue for expensive refreshments. Went into screen around 18.30 due to queue but though there would be trailers so no big deal. Movie had started so found seats in the dark and watched. Within an hour the movie was over!! We checked our tickets and had been put onto the 17.30 showing. Management were very accommodating and refunded our tickets and the part of the film we saw was very good. Looking forward to watching in full sometime ?

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Shere Khan, The meal commenced with an appetizer of succulent lamb chops, perfectly seared to retain their juices, offering a tender bite that set the stage for the courses to follow. Each bite was seasoned to perfection, allowing the natural flavors of the lamb to shine through. The main course, a Lamb Biriyani, was nothing short of a masterpiece. I always thought Chicken Biriyani was my best ever, not till I had Lamb Biriyani. The rice was fragrant and fluffy, each grain separate yet infused with an array of spices that danced on the palate. The lamb embedded within the biriyani was tender and flavorful, having absorbed the rich and aromatic spices, creating a harmonious blend of taste and texture. It was evident that great care had been taken in layering the flavors, resulting in a biriyani that was both comforting and exotic. What truly elevated the meal was the accompanying sauce. Its complexity and depth of flavor enhanced every bite, adding a luscious dimension to both the chops and biriyani. It was clear that the sauce was crafted with a meticulous blend of ingredients, each contributing to its unique and delightful taste. To complement the meal, a refreshing glass of mango juice provided a sweet and tangy contrast, cleansing the palate and refreshing the senses. The juice was fresh, with the essence of ripe mangoes shining through, making it the perfect accompaniment to the rich and flavorful dishes. In conclusion, dining at Shere Khan was an unforgettable experience, highlighted by impeccable dishes that were both traditional and innovative. The lamb chops and biriyani, along with the delectable sauce and refreshing mango juice, made for a meal that was not only satisfying but also a celebration of flavors. I eagerly anticipate my next visit, ready to delve further into their culinary offerings.

A little bit of everything and anything to keep your little ones and big ones amused for a couple hours which doesn't effect the pockets that much !! As in money everything is relatively priced well and my son absolutely loved it we travelled all the way from Northamptonshire to try Star City out as my son always wanted to go.Can't wait till we are back again a well deserved 5 star review

It used to be great and have good atmosphere and a lot going on shop wise but I went there yesterday and the Arcade has gone downhill badly. Rubbish all over the floor. Game machines not even working like the Virtual Reality one just for one.The female toilets looked like animals had been let loose in there, toilet roll all over the floors, sinks flooding over and toilets not being flushed. The cinema has gone proper downhill. Used to have ticket machines outside to purchase without waiting in the air and screens showing the trailer movies outside but it looks well bland now.Not going there again, it?s a dive now

We used to come here for the cinema and eat in the many lovely restaurants but no more. The whole place is so run down and dirty, we never eat here nowadays. However, we did go this week for the cinema and... 1. just about managed to park, it was chaotic 2. Took 25 minutes to get our cinema tickets as the staff were so incompetent, there was a large queue and they were so slow and uncaring 3. Every staff member we encountered was either lazy or rude 4. When watching the film several people at various stages took out their iphones which was very annoying and should be monitored. It's been a long time since we went to Star City and it will be even longer next time. Such a shame as it was really nice when first opened but management very poor nowadays.
