Best coffee in Birmingham

I called in for a coffee. I was told my order number would be called. I explained that I can't hear. The gentleman serving made sure I knew my drink was ready.Small things like this are really important. Thank you Java. I didn't have any food hence I didn't give a rating but it looked good!

Great place to sit and meet your friends. As I did. Our little group had cold drinks and I had a hot sandwich. I enjoyed the food, a little pricey at just under £5. Forgot to take a picture, next time! As I do like the chilled atmosphere. People of all ages were using the space which I really liked. Some sat alone doing work also. Toilets, one of each. I used one that appeared clean. If you're driving, parking can be found up the road on the opposite side, near the bus stop heading away from the city centre. Later in the evening you can park along the road outside the premises,if you can find a space. If you're using buses, the bus stops right outside. There are plenty of outside seating and cafe tables available. The staff were very friendly and engaging. They left you to enjoy the space with friends or when alone. It was a good experience and one I'd recommend and like to repeat.Parking: Free short-term parking is available but is free by 6.45pm, but you need to check the roadside signs to be sure. Paid council parking a short walk away over the traffic lights and across the road.Wheelchair accessibility: Wide door and no steps. I believe it should not be a problem to have wheelchair access.

One of the best coffee shops I have visited. Modern spacious and well lit. Food and drinks exceptional. If I lived close by I would visit everyday. As compared to other chains this is one of the top ones I have visited so far. I have been to many coffee shops big chains and small independents but nothing this good. Setting the best example! Coffee taste excellent and staff very friendly polite. Good manners

Incredibly tasty coffee, would definitely recommend! Food is also great, lots of different options available and customer service is excellent. See you again soon!

Excellent double decaff macchiato and coffe & walnut cake. Expensive at over 8 GBP, 8.05 to be exact. Enough comfy chairs, reasonably comfy, that I felt I could stay as long as I liked. Would return.

Nice decorated place . Friendly and welcoming staff, quite packed once visiting seems People working pub. Spacious indoor and outside place, just had coffee a bit away from my taste, will try again to say something.

Really loved this place when it first opened back in the day. The coffee was spot on and the people really cared about quality. They had lovely kebab salad and was our favourite latte. Ever since more chains have opened quality has gone down I think, while costs have gone up substantially. The food we loved has been removed from menu and is now sandwiches and small bites that are quite costly. Coffee quality isn't what it used to be. Last time we went in ordered two lattes one with coconut milk. Cost of lattes was high. Took a sip and both were regular milk, which I have allergy to. Had to remake. I'm not sure if coconut milk had gone off or was boiled way too much but it tasted off and nasty. Tried black instead and was quite bitter. Quality control needs to be better and need people with a passion again that care about making good coffee. Will be back to try again hopefully with some improvements back to the old days.Parking: Parking is difficult unless you get there outside the no loading times. Otherwise have to walk a bit down the road and pay for parking. Not always parking there either on busy days.

Really good coffee. The issue for me is that their oat milk is oatly which isn't gluten free, they do have other milks that are alpro so had to have almond and the lack of food choices also. They are laptop friendly.

I've been a customer of Java Lounge since the old days when it was on King Edward Road. It's always been a good, local coffee shop and the owners and staff are pleasant. It used to be a family friendly place but these days a lot of men frequent it. This isn't a bad thing, they are paying customers after all, but they aren't exactly the suited and booted working professionals I used to see in the old days, if you see what I mean.Dietary restrictions: The owners are Muslims, so I assume everything they sell is halal though I haven't seen a sign anywhere to state this, unlike some other establishments in Moseley that make it clear.

Had to do a review on this one as we can?t remember how many occasions we have visited here just to have a coffee or chai late every time we go Moseley. We always end up at Java.We do prefer the one in town as we believe the interior and ambiance is more homely- however this one is easier to park and access.Only fault we feel the branding has changed and I prefer the previous style.Always a great spot for high grade coffee.Highly recommend !!

Really great place to enjoy a wide variety of coffee and snacks. It's always busy when we visit and it has sockets around so it's an ideal option to work remotely in Moseley. Highly recommended!

Visited this place after someone else's recommendation. I needed a nice quiet place to get some work done. I was here from 9am till 4pm. The staff was super nice and had no issues with me being there all day. I had some lovely breakfast and decent coffee too; although the speciality drinks were average so I'd stay away from them. The cortado was lovely and that's what I would get again.

The coffee is excellent. Great taste and creamy milk if your choice is a milkier coffee. Can get quite busy but great, relaxed atmosphere in the cafe
