Visited today . Waited in a long queue for smart shop! Got to the checkout finally . Needed to have check ( totally fine) waited a while . To be approached finally, by ?BEV? to do the scan check . Then she decided to go to another till!!!!!! Came eventually came to me ? with ? no apology? when questioned why she went to another customer? then continued to chat with another colleague about , how another colleague Maddie was asking to arrange checkouts ? and it was a bad choice ! Whilst I am still waiting for my produce to be scanned ! I said it was not appropriate to have a chat about colleagues , in front of customers !!! Bev then said you should have not been listening ? bit hard when a staff member and the end of trolly . Manager came . But BEV continued to be aggressive & confrontational ?. To leave me shaking with stress & alarm !!!! In front of other customers . The verbal assault BEV gave me is not acceptable , no more less than verbal assault of which has been reported ? AVOID vile woman and STORE

As Sainsbury's go the store in Selly Oak is easily one of the best I've ever visited. They have a huge variety of what you would expect and lots of what you wouldn't. The standard groceries are a given, however, the store also boasts a Habitat, Argos and Tu Clothing. This location pretty much has everything under a single roof with loads of free parking and a petrol station. The only negative is the access in to and out of the retail park. It feels as though all the genius was used up when designing the retail outlets, leaving the access design to unqualified persons. The store itself is perfect.

Pretty good Sainsbury's, plenty of parking and good selection of products. Fairly small frozen section though.

Typical Sainsbury?s store. Offering a variety of products from grocery to home wares items. Good location with substantial car parking and good public transport links nearby.

Great experience shopping. TO avoid rush hours I go before 12pm or after 8pm during the weekends and holidays. Great variety of stuff. I find most organic vegetables here.

Large Sainsbury's that also had a great food hall. Some of the food stores provide 10% off for bluelight card holders.

Whilst my wife shopped for weekly needs I went searching for some basic clothing essentials in men's section under Tu brand. Bought thermal protection gloves & a scarf. I also bought the only available large desk diary. I am very pleased with my purchases.. TQ Sainsbury.

The checkouts at this store are ridiculous. You have to scan the barcode on ur receipt to get out but it often doesn't work. The checkout supervisor is lazy and hopeless. Sometimes when u talk to these people or ask for help they are unresponsive and stupid. I get the impression they are working there because no one else will employ them and there's nothing else they can do anyway. The big Asda store in Barnes Hill is miles better and I feel far more in tune with the local community. It's a complete contrast whereby the tills ask whether u even want a receipt! The staff are also way more helpful.

Store is great, has everything you could need. Staff however, Sam an older lady with short brown hair in particular was very very rude! Instead of saying excuse me and waiting for me to move my pram out the way, she grabbed at the handle and shoved it out the way with my newborn inside! When confronted she made a face and carried on, when going past me again she hit a trolley into my back and didnt even so much as look back to apologise. Have filed a complaint but doubt anything will be done! Disgusting behaviour!

Normal supermarket as expected. There is a sushi bar that makes fresh sushi which is a great addition. The location is pretty good too. lots of parking spaces. Although it is a bit of a pain if you do park and ride at Selly Oak station (right next to Sainsbury's), you have to drive 5 minutes to get to the car park. Better off just walking if you can.

Large hypermarket, always well stocked. Quality is best. Prices are on higher side. This one also has large crockery/stationary /gift and clothing section. It's always busy but plenty of parking spaces available.

Really poor self-service experience, stemming from a chronically understaffed team.Needed clearance for an age restricted item and it took over 5 minutes for a staff member to assist. The store wasn't particularly busy at the time either, so I dread to think how bad the wait would be at busy times. Then they've now installed barriers that force you to scan your receipt to exit. I don't normally take a receipt from tills, but now have to do so here.Frankly, I think I'll go elsewhere going forwards. The customers are clearly not at the centre of the managers' thoughts.
