Whoever owns this place should do the decent thing and shoot themselves. Daylight robbery.

You can find many fast moving consumer goods. You can find various publications such as magazines, usually a medium-density store is at a very visible point in the middle of the train station, I can't say I like its design, there is a discount on some products.

The staff and manager are thieves . I bought a phone charger that was too slow in charging my phone, I returned the charger for a refund or another one but they said they can?t change the charger or refund my money £25 . They took both the charger and my money.

I bought a 15GB SIM card which according to the packaging would cost £10. I was unable to activate it as described in the packaging. I asked the cashier for help, and we called Lebara customer service. They said they can only activate the sim card for 7GB.The store did not accept returns. The bearded salesman in the store said that they are just sellers and do not take any responsibility for the products they sell in the store. It just isn?t right! I feel that I have been robbed by their fake offer.

during lockdown all the food remained on the shelves / shopfloor. On a number of occasions saw mice crawling on the bottom shelf where the chocolates are. These were still on sale when the place opened after lockdown. Pretty disgusting, avoid

WHSmith in Birmingham New Street Station is a fairly strange store down to the construction of New Street Station as it basically is two stores in one back to back, mainly down to the ticket gates being past the stores so the store had to compromise through having a larger store and then a small store round of the back. For me this does affect the overall store as the stock is less, the store is more cramped and smaller in both sides as the average travel store would be. I came in here to grab a quick drink to take onto my train, the prices were higher than normal with it down to being a travel store. The manned till was empty and the store was really understaffed which meant a long wait time to redeem and sort out my coupon, which was frustrating as for me a travel store especially should be quick with a staff member on hand to help and there should always be at least one manned till for people who might struggle with one of the two self-service machines or wanting to buy something age restricted such as an energy drink. WHSmith is in pretty much every Railway Station, and although the stock is slight, size, service and overall feel is worse than other travel locations and price is perhaps nearer than nearby locations (remember Grand Central with a Tesco and many other retailers is right above New Street and this store) it still deserves at least two-stars for location and having a satisfactory beverage selection.

This is a good little WHSmith store for a quick pop-in. I usually pick up my newspapers from here every weekday morning and the occasionally the odd book. I also buy a regular bar of confectionery from here. Service is always good and the queues are orderly and short whenever I visit.

I came here looking for a squared notebook and what do you know it's a bloody sandwich shop! They have hardly anything to do with books or stationery.

Visit this store probably about twice a week. Service leaves a lot to be desired. Sales Assistants seem disinterested. Often cages and boxes piled high during peak trading hours (rush hour). Stock depth and range is good within the store, pricing structure is steep, however that is company wide, not store level.
