“We are from Sheffield and while visiting family in Dudley we called at Merryhill .My mother's battery operated wheelchair suddenly got a spare battery jammed underneath while opening . We could not open the wheelchair or close it and mum needed it to get around as she cannot not walk . I looked around and saw Halfords and wondered if they would help . We had no tools with us at all . After checking the store was manned a staff member came to our rescue . Could NOT THANK THEM ENOUGH and they should be praised for helping us . Not many would but we found the young men so polite and with a willingness that is rare these days . Andy could not deal with the enquiry as it was not his dept (he worked on the currys side) but he put me through to Julie who went out of her way to deal with my enquiry when it was not even her dept.
