Imagine walking all the way to your room, opening the door and finding someone already in there - this should never happen Imagine being relocated into a different room where not only is the air conditioning not working, but it?s baking hot and you cannot open any windows for fresh air Imagine asking someone to help who opens the glass door but locks it only allowing 6? airspace but the air will not circulate. It?s now fixed there. Imagine a hotel putting a £7 fan in the room, thinking this is the solution for something they think is worth £140 a night. It?s not. Imagine then finding the room doesn?t even have tv controls but at that point you?ve given up. I try and be balanced with my reviews and find something good - the iron works well - that?s honestly it. This is an awful hotel and I suggest you just imagine it and don?t ever experience it. Hilton are better than this.

This will be a summary of my last three stays. Let?s start with the first one. No lifts were working. Not an issue for me but for some customers it may be a problem. Room was super spacious but the bathroom was tiny, with not even one shelf for your own toiletries. At least they have a gym open 24/7 which was a bit of a consolation. However don?t count on getting anything to eat if you arrive shortly before or after 9pm as their kitchen closes at that time. Stay number two - the keys were not working. You basically had to be escorted by someone from reception every time you wanted to leave the room, which made you a prisoner who needed a nanny. With the third stay I started to wonder if the roof is going to collapse next. It didn?t, but that was the worst stay for me so far. First of all the bathroom was dirty. One thing I can?t stand in a hotel is an unclean bathroom. On top of that the shower gel container was filled to the brim - with water. I mean - great that you started introducing more eco friendly solutions but that was taking it too far. And then the best bit was my neighbour. One of the walls in the room looked like sliding door, bolted with a lock and chain. I thought at first that it?s a storage room, until two hours later I heard (very clearly) the arrival of the guest who was to occupy the mysterious space behind the sliding doors. Soundproofing of that door/wall was non existent, hence I heard absolutely everything. First of all it turned out the person was a wheelchair user and was given a room unadjusted to using a wheelchair. He made it very clear that he was pissed off at the situation and looks like he had the same cleaning crew as one of his first comments were about the bathroom being dirty. When the concierge guy left, my new neighbour called someone and started very loudly and with many colourful words complain about the whole situation. And again I heard it all - including the porn videos he was watching on a very loud volume. When I did ask if I can be moved to another room, I was told that all rooms are taken. I suspect they meant all usable rooms, because that hotel is full of rooms that are not being offered to the guest. Then again, considering the overall state of the hotel, I?m not surprised. Overall, if I didn?t have my standard set of earplugs, I would be in for a sleepless night due to all the noise. To summarise - a hotel that is in need of refurbishment, better logistics in terms of how the rooms are used and a real cleaning service that knows how to use a bleach.

This hassle been our second stay at this Doubletree Coventry Arena and both stays have been excellent. Positioned just off the M6 it is ideal for a stopover when the journey from London to Manchester on a Friday night seems too daunting. The service from the smart staff was up to Hilton standard and welcome. We took our evening meal in the adjoining restaurant which served up good pub food. Prices seemed very reasonable. Breakfast in the hotel itself was typical Doubletree standard and excellent. Our room overlooked the stadium which was empty and a bit uninteresting. A room overlooking the car park may have had more going for it. The rooms are clean and quite spacious. The bathroom had a decent shower but no bath. Bed was very comfortable.

Ok but far from great. Room Aircondirioning doesn?t go below 18 degrees, fan provided in room and best suggestion hotel came up with was a second fan which isn?t exactly going to let you get a great nights sleep. Windows at front of hotel don?t open so if it?s warm or sunny you?ll feel like you?re in an oven. Confusing corridor signage, you look for everything and all the doors look just about the same. Carpet in room has seen better days and show screen leaked. Room generally clean. Breakfast ok. Not sure how secure the parking actually because it?s all part of the arena and while we were there someone told us they?d had their vans stolen from the arena carpark. Staff friendly.

I arrived at 8pm after a long drive. The receptionist asked if I would like a room with a TV and no Shower or a room with a shower and no TV as the only rooms they they available had faults! I asked were the restaurant was to be told the kitchen is closed. I chose a room with a shower. This turned out to be either Luke warm or scalding hot! No one was available to discuss the issues pretty grim for £115.

I have stayed in a lot of Hilton?s across the uk and across the world on the hotel wins the prize for the dirties, most unfriendly and the poorest customer service I have ever received I booked a 2 night stay, as a diamond member you would thing you would be looked after a little bit better I walked in my room, turned around and walked out, cancelled my 2 night say and went somewhere else Poor reception staff that have not been Hilton hotel branded Unsure of the Hilton booking in process for diamond member Unhelpful and rude The corridor on the way to my room was in very poor condition with food debris in the corridor, looked like rice, the dirtiest walls, scuffs, paint chips You can see these rooms are very well used, turnover must be high and due to it being linked to a stadium it?s high volume party culture hence the state of the room Please avoid or regret it, I will never stay here again and unsure if I will go back to Hilton as they have gone down hill in the uk, unlike abroad where the standards are much higher Avoid avoid

We stayed here during a birthday break. We are Diamond members and this hotel certainly values the Hilton loyalty. We felt valued prior to arrival and were very generously upgraded. We thank the team so much, we would also like to thank them for the lovely treats little treats, given this was part of my birthday trip. Staff were all polite and courteous, and all public areas were impeccably clean and staff were constantly cleaning and maintaining the standards set to them. We met with a delightful gentleman in the breakfast room, he introduced himself after I said, ?good morning? Raj was extremely professional, easily approachable and clearly has the standard of what the guest receives at the heart of what he does. Breakfast was an amazing all you can eat buffet. The bacon is of good quality and a good thick slice. Food was nicely presented and staff were all readily available to support the guests who needed assistance. All in all we highly recommend the hotel.

Filthy - hairs of others in bathroom, dirty coffee cup and spoon - i washed them with soap and old coffee marks went away, no sparkling water at reception, no air conditioner. Lots of dust. Aisle looks worn out. Staff was really kind though. Avoid.

A weekend away, primarily to watch football., with my wife. The hotel is easy to find with lots of parking. Check in was very quick and smooth. Reception staff very friendly. Had a first floor room which was clean, bright and spacious. Bed was very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was varied and plentiful and again the staff were superb. A great stay, would definitely recommend

Needed to put cheque into my ISA so googled to see if they were open. Apparently they shut at 12 on a Saturday, didn?t bother taking my book out with me and cheque. Went into Tesco?s to do my shopping and low and behold they were open! Surely your banking hours should be correctly displayed! I might just deposit my cheque into the Halifax now. Another gripe is that when you make any transaction they don?t update your book, very primitive.
