Really poor experience here, every time without fail. Staff are extremely rude and unhelpful. Three absolutely awful recent visits have prompted me to write this review. Avoid if you want any sort of manners from staff or a swift trip, I had a dreadful level of ?service? from a woman on the hot food counter. Zero respect or manners from this individual.

Long wait to order, only 1 order point. Tables over flowing and dirty. Ignored by staff...

Poor management/staff decisions at the deli earlier today, leaving a 89 year old man waiting at the counter (my dad) unaware if anyone was going to come and serve us. We didn't realise the section was understaffed and the deli staff was stacking and rotating milk with the help of the manager of all people. It doesn't take 2 people to do any shop floor work, so we really should have been dealt with a lot sooner. All it would have taken was "I'll be with you in a minute" or something similar and my dad would have been totally fine with it, but he didn't know what was going on, which is why I asked. Neither myself or my dad had an issue with waiting; we just wanted to know if we would be served or not, considering it was our second attempt, but I was made to feel like I was making a formal complaint by the attitude and words of the deli staff worker. "Sorry bout that, we're understaffed, it happens" with patronising tone.We had a breakfast after the shop and the restaurant being almost empty is because it was so cold, with only a handful of people in there with their jackets and hats still on. We had to move seats because the air con was blowing on us. We're most definitely using other places to shop and eat now. I've worked at the Binley store for over 2 years and today just reminded me of how its always had poor management

Waited at the fresh fish counter- no staff. Asked a shelf stacky/ helpy person for help and they informed me I needed to queue at the understaffed tobacco kiosk and that they could assist. Waited patiently for a disgruntled person to stare at me and then pick up a phone to ask for colleague assistance. They then promptly went on to serve their next customer, so I naively felt my needs around being able to purchase food, had been met- how wrong I was. After a further 10 minutes wait, I decided I would not be cooking fish that evening. To make it worse the " pre packed" fish section was virtually empty, so no help there.I don't see the point of having a fully stocked, and quite impressive fish counter-, if there is no-one to serve ,and dare I say it, help and guide a customer with their choices.I went at 1400 ish, so not exactly the end of the trading period.Their waste must be astronomical.Because of said fish counter and how beautifully it is presented, I told my wife we can happily skip past Asda,Tesco,M&S, Lidl and even the fish market in the centre of town. All of which we had either driven or walked past because " trust me, we' re fine and I'll cook you a lovely bit of fish*.More fool me.

Good sized store with the usual market stands displaying fresh and baked products. Good mix of products. Good car park.
