On arrival the waitress was extremely polite and helpful but this is when it all went down hill. Had to wait a while for the chef to come out and even then there wasn?t a great breakfast selection. No sausages no bacon and when it did come out it was undercooked and swimming in grease. Only 2 Yorkshire pudding available no scrambled eggs to then be told we had to preorder that at the bar. How was I meant to know this? When the egg finally came over was swimming in a bowl of water absolutely disgusting. The table had old ring marks from drinks clearly been there before. Couldn?t finish it at all as my plate then ended up completely covered in grease and at this point I started to feel extremely sick. How it?s justified paying 9 pound for a breakfast is beyond me.Shame cause years back was so lovely but Tony carvery has gone down hill and seems to have lost its passion

Went for a carvery on the way home from the NEC. Food was good but the service from Lucy and Connor was outstanding. A very warm welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Both very friendly but

£13.99 for a carvery and only veg we had a choice from was carrots, peas and green beans and purple cabbage?.no broccoli, sprouts or nothing. Also I upgraded and didn?t even get the extra meat that you?re supposed to get!!! Very very disappointed. The tables are that close together that we could hear a couples convo 2 tables away!!

Great food, as always, very tasty and plenty of choice at the carvery. Although it was very busy, the staff coped very well and did a great job.Improvements could be made to the seating area where there are the small tables for 2 as too close together, also car park needs some maintenance carried out on it.

I like it here but on this visit they fell short of the expected food quality and service. 10am was my visit. Eventually found a clean plate. Bacon was just cooked but with lots of fat on it. Sausage were very pale hardly any browning. Had to wait for mushrooms and fried eggs. I was even asked by a senior member of staff what I was having to wait for. After over 5 mins the mushrooms arrived along with the eggs. So I was able to get seated to eat. Lady clearing the plates asked if everything was ok as she could see I had left the sausage. I said all ok except sausage and bacon are not cooked to what I would normally expect and have had before. The reply was. If you wanted them cooking more you could have mentioned it to the chef who would cook them well done for me. I would not think of asking aChef to cook something properly and it was very awkward after I had the long wait for the breakfast dishes to be filled. Fist time being disappointed with a Toby carvery.

Enjoyed Sunday lunch here today. The food was very tasty and the service efficient and very pleasant. However I have scored lower for atmosphere, as the tables in the area where we were seated were very crammed together. It felt like all the diners were sitting on top of one another, I could actually touch the table next to me and with little personal space I felt uncomfortable. I did ask the staff host if we could be moved to a table in a less crowded area further along the restaurant but was politely told they were all booked. We had booked in advance too, so didn't expect to be seated so tightly like sardines. After we'd finished, a family group had to brush past us to be seated at the table behind. Would possibly return as food and service were good but would request a quieter table when booking as felt this seating arrangement was too uncomfortable.
