One of my cheques got accepted in the machine but the second wouldn't so I Went to counter to have that cashed in. I was dealt with a rude blonde lady who didn?t even help me at all even though I had 2 forms of ID. This Useless lady was being nice to other bank users. Maybe she didn?t like an Asian because I noticed something similar with a bank user in line before me. I went to my NatWest bank -after to cash the second cheque in with ease. Won?t be using this useless branch in future.

Only able to get to my local Halifax on Saturday mornings as if you work full time you won?t be able to get there during open hours. Told I can?t use desk to pay in cash; so had to use a machine. It spat out all the money but kept £60 and subsequently wouldn?t return my card. Had to ask for support and the lady was so confused and rude. She didn?t listen to me when I said I hadn?t counted it yet to check if money was missing (later £60) but she did get my card back. Told me it was because the notes were ?crumpled?. They weren?t, they were poker straight as most new money is. Made a fuss when I asked for my £60 back saying that she thought I said I had it all. No love I didn?t. Finally got my money back and was asked if I?d like to try to pay my cash in again with the same machine. Obviously not!Used the desk service as I was now allowed. Lady counting cash behind the counter was super helpful to be fair hence the rating.Unfortunately I also had to change my legal name while I was there, which meant a lengthy awkward conversation with the original clerk with a brunette bob. She asked me personal questions in front of the rest of the customers, like what my monthly salary was. Why did she need that for a change of name? If she did; why didn?t she offer to ask these questions in a separate room? I was not comfortable with answering so she looked in my account and called out my salary; saying ?is that the correct figure??Left with my jobs completed, but it was a real strain, stressful and left feeling relieved I got out of there. Thumbs down again from me, after trying so hard to actually get to the bank during their opening hours which has taken weeks to organise.

Have found this bank to have always given good service the staff are eager to help when required there is a choice of cash machines to pay in or withdrawals. Today 29th December there was a queue but a member of staff explained the staff shortage due to illness and let me say in these difficult times how grateful we are to still get personal service from banks.First class merry hill Halifax may you see us into a better new year.

Don't go here today it's closed. Wasted journey. Someone needs to keep the website times up to date. Not happy?. So it's the 13 th of December and it's still closed even though the web site says it's open. Obviously the management for this branch don't update the opening times. This is disgusting.

Changed the machines outside which doesn't allow you to deposit cheques like the old ones which means I struggle to get money in the bank now because by the time u finish work they are shut well done Halifax big help

Stopped by today to open an account with partner sat here for half an hour and watched every other customer get offered a drink whilst waiting but didn't bother offering me or my partner one the whole time we've been here over an hour total, decided not to open an account based on your customer services now thanks anyway.
