These guys are proper automotive engineers - not your usual plug-in princesses.Shaun and Chris did a great job repairing our classic Austin Rover Maestro Diesel Van including diagnosing a failed cylinder head gasket, removing, machining and rebuilding so it runs better than new. Great job guys!

Was told by a friend to use these as good at their work and fair on prices...I was told my head needed doing by another garage so I went and bought ALL the parts... was just looking for somebody to fit it all... not skim or polish or anything.. just fit the new head an thats that... 650 as a qoute after telling me £40 an hour labour charges... thats 16.5hours to install a head.. ridiculous

Great family owned business, honest, reliable and knowledgeable. Have used for a number of years with different businesses, you will struggle to find a better automotive engineer with the same knowledge as Sean.

Wrote my £3000+ car off beyond economical repair !A while ago now I took my Citroen C4 to this garage to get the head gasket repaired. Firstly he changed the price from the original quote of around £540 after wanting cash in hand and then wanted £640! After a little bit of haggling he agreed on £600 to put it through the books. The car was in a very good state of repair other than the head gasket and everything else was working as it should, it was a nice car. That was until Speedway Garage wrote it off beyond economical repair! They had the car not long before Christmas for a few day job at most. The car was not ready when it should have been and I was told that the "engine had developed a misfire" that's all I was told and that they were fixing it as a "goodwill gesture".More excuses and fob offs came as I kept chasing what was happening with my car. The owner of the garage tried to make me feel as if he was doing me a favour by fixing this "misfire" that had somehow happened while in his garage yet it "wasn't their fault".Long story short somehow they had messed up the Electrics. I strongly suspect the ABS and the ECU ! No idea how.. but the speedometer wasn't working when I finally got to see my car! ONE MONTH after they had it in for the repair!Yes, this garage left us without a car all over Christmas. They then ruined a whole year of our lives. Not only my year, but also my fiancée's and my very young toddlers year!I was told over Christmas that our car was "in his mates garage".When we finally had enough and he'd given up trying to fix it and told us to "accept" that it wasn't their fault and that they tried to help me! We went down to look at the car, after it finally came back from "his mates garage".I was shocked! The car had numerous warnings coming up in French! Everything was showing faults! There was no Speedometer! The whole time over Christmas and the month they had my car, they were also driving this vehicle and using as their own! With NO speedometer. Illegal? Yes.So I was of course extremely upset that this garage had ruined our car, yet they still expected me to pay for the head gasket repair! I don't think so.He had also replaced the original ECU for a recoded second hand one.. Citroen told me straight this was one of the worse things to do!I told them I was taking the car to get diagnosed elsewhere, they agreed.I took my car to another garage and upon him removing the electronic ABS plug clean water came out! Why was there clean water in my electrical ABS plug!?Of course, the owner of Speedway had already hatched his plan to try and wriggle his way out of the blame! He tried to say that the water was from "jetwashing" or "puddles". Citroen C4's of late 2015 and earlier were affected by an issue with some water being able to get into the ABS plug. - My car was the 2007 model which was not affected! Now, I want to point out that this was CLEAN WATER not dirty puddle water. Also if there was water in the ABS plug before he had my car, the issues would have been there prior to him working on it!I don't need to state my strong suspicions, I think you already get the picture of what happened. After the diagnosis of "it could be the ECU" and "it could be the ABS" or it could be a number of other things.. it was looking that the car was beyond repair. After this diagnoses and some months later I got the car checked elsewhere, magically this time there was NO water in the ABS plug! So it's quite transparent (no pun intended) how the water got in there! Inside an ELECTRICAL plug!So long story short I had a number of visits to Speedway Garage, phone calls and so on and he said at first he would pay to get it fixed until he knew the starting prices to just get it diagnosed! After a year of many arguments and aggression from him, court proceedings against him he finally "settled out of court" with a £1500 payment for my car..I can and never will recomm
