I have banked with Lloyds for over 40 years. I have always praised Lloyds as being the best bank to bank with but today I had a terrible experience with a young Asian lad on the till point at the Shirley Stratford road branch who when asked said his name was Adam, maybe not true as he knew I would probably name him in my review! I can?t be regarded as racist as I?m Asian myself. I had bags of money that my disabled son had carefully counted up to exchange for notes. This lad was really sullen, no smile for any customer let alone me. I had 15 bags and was told I could only give in 10. I disputed this as it was a one off and I didn?t have time to come in again the next day. Another member of staff, a male who heard the dispute explained to me they couldn?t accept more than 10 bags but he was polite and well mannered but this Asian man was sullen, rude and had no people?s skills. I said it was ridiculous to only accept 10 bags as money is money and he told to me to go and bank with another bank if I wasn?t happy, that maybe I would get better service elsewhere. How can anyone representing a huge organisation like Lloyds say something like this? He obviously had no training in social skills with customers and how to speak to them. He was rude and arrogant and I told him so! I hope I never deal with him again, in fact I will refuse to! Lloyds you are letting yourself down with staff who are rude and disrespectful, he should have simply said I?m sorry but that?s our policy, not say go and bank with another bank if you don?t like the service here! Good job I do online banking, it?s only on rare occasions that I go in and it?s good as I don?t need rude and disrespectful staff talking down to me. Never had a problem with anyone else there but him and shocked that Lloyd?s employ people lacking in peoples skills and good customer services who are rude, arrogant, never smile and tell customers to go and bank with their rivals if not happy! On my way out a customer who had heard our conversation at the till point said she?s had similar experiences with him and he was rude to her too so it?s not just me! Lloyds get your act together, you should be showing your customers all the reasons they should bank with you and not the reasons they shouldn?t!!!

To be honest, your not treated with respect at this branch, some of the staff, ( not all, but some ) seem to have really bad customer service skills and a really bad attitude to go with it, at first I thought it was just me, but I've been to this branch on multiple occasions now and discovered the problem wasn't myself, it was their attitude and manner that wasn't write, and in all honesty, I think I will go with the Coventry bank in future, as they know how to treat their customers with respect.

I had an appointment with Sarah she was very informative and helpful. The rest of staff were great as well, brilliant bank nothing but nice words to say about them!

I used Shirley branch and had the pleasure of liaising with staff members Holly and kully who were so welcoming, helpful, polite and informative. They made me feel as I had known them for ages. Also used the cashier desk too and the lady there was so friendly. Much appreciated to all the staff.

I have found the most people in shirley branch very unhelpful & even rude. I have requested coins on three occasions & been refused three times.The one woman in her late 50s has even got up from her seat & spoke to other tellers on two occasions & then the teller serving me has said they don't have any coins. It seems they don't like helping people at all.

One of the worst branch you will see. Zero customer service never helpful at all. Lloyds should take action of peoples working inside never help to customer. I would recommend avoid using Solihull Stratford road branch.

Clean and bright in well laid designed public area - but room I was interviewed in seemed like it not seen a clean for a week!
