Store 4533 Wolverhampton : My daughter purchased a fan a little over a week ago which has gone on to make a noise akin to a car motor attempting to start on a dodgy battery. This noise occurs roughly after being on for 10 mins. On returning item to the store from whence it came the "highly intelligent argos assistant" NOT !! proceeded to "test" it (for no more than two minutes) and as it seemed OK to her she refused to accept the return.. Now forgive me if I'm wrong but is this woman really a qualified electrician too ,, I doubt it.. So she and her employer Argos have sold an electrical item that is not fit for purpose and dangerous, in my book that is criminal... I wonder how many other vulnerable people have been treated and conned by this company and in particular this store . 4533. ???

Dreadful service overall from Argos from shop front to back office. Front of shop untrained and unhelpful and happy to fobb you off to Customer Service than really offer some form of a service to customers paying and buying products from the organisation they work for and represent. Only good for completing mere tasks of issuing orders and calling out numbers. Even then my observation was that task was too complicated for a couple of the staff. Any queries, its the standard response "ring Customer Services number ending 3030" as advised by Jackie (Argos Assistant) Guess what? The number on the back of the receipt is no longer active. Is Argos not even aware of this fact? How many receipts are issued? Conversed, via Live Chat - after a thread of communication agents response was they only deal with home delivery enquiries and I need to return to in-store! Can Argos make this clear that Live Chat is only for Home Delivery queries or waa this another case of cannot be bothered employee? I have the chat narrative as proof - laughable. Requested email for Customer Service - guess what it's no longer active. Rang the 'other number' on back of receipt skipping the prompted automations all largely around home delivery or product support. Finally, managed to speak to someone who tried to contact St Marks Store as this agent was of the belief also 'In Store' should have resolved the issue for me, and according to this agent the advice to contact Customer Services was incorrect as they 'in-store' should be aware what Customer Services now deal with limited queries! This was an issue which could be resolved in-store (according to customer service agent). Return to store, non the wiser - returned product. The 'scam' of purchasing products with the incentive of qualifying for £100 eGiftcard is not worth the hassle. Why Argos cannot issue it over the counter at point of purchase is beyound me. Spoke to Argos Manager who was happy to have laptop returned and issue to go away for her 'attitude' apparently they can only isdue £15 eGiftcards instore and made the point of that not being what I was wanting. 10/10 Einstein! I would not want a £15 eGiftcard vpucher when I qualify for £100 - why dont you escalate these issues that you are experiencing up to Area / Regional Managers and offer solutions to avoid such issues and improve your customer service. Product happily returned, as I prefer to spend my money at Curry's. Absolute sham of a service. It's a shame as Argos once was a 'go to' place over the decades - staff really need to receive FULL TRAINING on all matters including offers and resolutions. The fact Argos has not acknowledged any previous 'reviews' indicates they do not have a traditional CS section to desl with issues.

I been to return laptop I bough 2 days back. I did not use the laptop I just opened and logged in and that?s it reset back because it was too small for me. I explained to lady I need to return it back because i need bigger screen than this laptop. She check everywhere no problem nothing than she come back to me and she was like I can?t take this back as it has finger prints on screen. I explained to her it could be when I try to open the laptop. She refused to take back because it has finger prints on screen. What the hell that is??? Can someone explain please. I returned apple iPad even I used for a week I did not like for some reason. Searisouly please don?t waste your money here. Otherwise ask them.Return policy : 14 days but can?t take it back because it has finger prints on.Please don?t water your money here

Easy access to Argos through Sainsbury used the lift to bring goods 2 TV,s from Argos, the staff were very helpful and friendly, the car park in Sainsbury is such an easy access for shopping. Very pleased.

Ordered online (12/08/22) and picked the item up today. Everything went to plan until I got to Argos. Signs everywhere saying due to staff sickness there may be a long wait ?. One thing came to mind....IF SAINSBURY'S HAD NOT CUT THE STAFF TO LITERALLY A SKELETON CREW THEY WOULD HAVE STAFF TO COVER!!!. They have done the same on the Supermarket side. Argos used to be busy, crowded and enjoyable. Now it has ( understandably) miserable staff, poor quality merchandise, awful customer service and an even worse customer service helpline. Sainsbury's have ruined a once great chain. I feel sorry for the staff here, yet dismayed at Sainsbury's relentless bad management that continue to make Argos unprofitable and not a great place to shop. Time to shop elsewhere I think

Rude and unhelpful staff. Extremely disappointing as I generally like Argos but would not recommend this one. Customer service - 0 stars. The staff members of this Argos should be reviewed without a doubt.

Just went to this store to purchase my daughter?s birthday present as of midnight we enter tier 4, the guy in store wouldn?t allow us to purchase in store and told me to order on line, this wasn?t possible as I had £140 in vouchers, I tried to explain to him that we had to get the present today as it?s my daughter?s birthday next week and didn?t want to see her without her main gift, he said the store wasn?t allowing this as of Monday, I contacted customer services and they said the store should be allowing walk ins and cash payments, thankfully we purchased the Nintendo switch from smyths, definitely won?t be going back to this Argos,and they wonder why so many branches are closing...

I would give 0 stars if that was possible.My partner and I came into the store today to purchase 2 items which we did on the screens, we opted to pay at the screen via card but that did not work. So queued 10 minutes at the kiosk to be served. We were given a number to wait at the collection desk and was told there would be a 3 minute wait. 3 minutes into waiting to collect our items our number flashed on screen to tell us our order was ready. We went to the desk and the young lady we spoke to said our order wasnt ready yet. So we continued to wait. 3 or 4 people who came after us got their items before us. It was then we realised that our items were sitting on the shelf behind the kiosk since before we even got to the collection point. We were waiting 15 minutes for items that were sat behind the staff the entire time.Furthermore, we asked for a bag at the till when we were paying but the lady did not put it through. So even after waiting for a prolonged amount of time, we were asked to pay 20p for a carrier bag!I think this is absolutely disgraceful and I am appalled by the sheer lack of customer service we were given today.

Absolutely terrible, no customer service at all. The Asian girl KIRAN I think her name is absolutely rude and very unprofessional. I went to return a faulty item and she didn't even want to listen to hear what the fault was. She just gave me back the item and said sorry we can't accept it because the other items that came with the item aren't inside the box, which they clearly were if she bothered to check. The item was faulty and was still in the 30 day return policy!, So why can't I return a faulty item even when I have discussed the fault and did all the troubleshooting with the item original company and they told me to go and return to the store and get your money back or get a replacement. this has happened many times with me she never listens and is always rude. And the managers are also rude and i think all the staff and managers are racist. So we eventually went to the Bentley bridge store and they returned the item with no problem at all, there customer service is the best. However in Wolverhampton raglan street they all need to go and learn what customer service is.

how nice to have an Argos store within a store. You can get all your shopping and more under one roof. They even have ring and reserve which is a good idea if your short of time. If you've parked on the free carpark there's no hurry to do shopping or to pick up orders from Argos. Try and pick a new catalogue up while there it's worth having a look through and check what money can be saved.

I do very frequent shopping from this store and found up to marks for my daily needs.

Good Argos store. Fairly big and in a really good location on a retail park. Only 4 star as as it's in such a good location the store gets busy at times. Although the most I've waited was 10 mins for a product. So whist busy the service is still fairly quick. Credit to the staff there.
